AMD R9 3950X

AMD Ryzen 9 3950X är en högklassig processor med 16 kärnor som bygger på Zen 2-arkitekturen. Vid lanseringen i november 2019 är det den snabbaste processorn i Matisse-serien. 3950X klockar från 3,5 GHz (bas) upp till 4,7 GHz (Turbo för en enda kärna). Alla sexton kärnor kan nå upp till 4,1 GHz.

Tack vare de 16 kärnorna och 32 trådarna erbjuder 3950X utmärkt programprestanda - om antalet kärnor kan användas. Tack vare den relativt höga Turbo ligger även prestandan för en enda kärna i den övre delen. För spel finns det dock snabbare processorer, som Core i9-10900K.

Ryzen 9 3950X tillverkas i 7 nm (de fyra CCX-klusterna med kärnorna) hos TSMC och 12 nm (I/O-die) hos Globalfoundries. TDP är beräknad till 250 Watt och därför behöver processorn ett mycket kraftfullt kylsystem.
