AMD R5 7540U

AMD Ryzen 5 7540U är en snabb processor för bärbara datorer i mellanklassen i Phoenix-serien. Den erbjuder 6 kärnor (hexa core) baserade på Zen 4-arkitekturen som stöder hyperthreading (12 trådar). Kärnorna klockar från 3,2 (bas) upp till 4,9 GHz (single core boost). Processorn har 6 MB L2-cache och 16 MB L3-cache.

Tack vare den nya Zen 4-arkitekturen och högre klockhastigheter är R5 7540U klart snabbare än den gamla Ryzen 5 6600U (Zen 3, 6 kärnor, 4,5 GHz). Jämfört med den liknande 7640Uhar 7540U en lägre basklocka och en långsammare iGPU.

Chipet integrerar ett modernt och snabbt RDNA 3-grafikkort (iGPU) som heter Radeon 740M med 4 av 12 CU:er och en klockhastighet på 2,5 GHz. Phoenix-serien innehåller dessutom en videomotor med AV1 de- och encoding, en ny Xilinx FPGA-baserad XDNA AI-accelerator (Ryzen AI) som ska vara snabbare än AI-motorn i Apple M2 SOC och en dubbelkanalig DDR5-5600 / LPDDR5x-7500 minneskontroller (med ECC-stöd). Anslutningsfunktionerna inkluderar 2 möjliga USB 4-portar (40 Gbps) och 20 PCIe 4.0-banor för en GPU och SSD-enheter.

Phoenix-serien använder en enda monolitisk design (till skillnad från chiplet-designen i 7045HX-serien) och tillverkas i den moderna 4nm-processen hos TSMC. TDP kan konfigureras mellan 15 och 30 watt (28 watt som standard).
