EN→SVDell's XPS 14 is a workhorse and it wants to power your work day, as well as your personal needs after hours too. Perhaps the only real letdown being the absence of USB-A or HDMI ports without the use of an adaptor, it's a versatile, powerful laptop at a decent price, and you could do far, far worse. It feels like the Windows equivalent of a Macbook, it's well made and slick, and looks great on your desk.

EN→SVThe Dell XPS 14 costs Rs 2.5 lakh in India. For its asking price, the laptop ships with a gorgeous OLED display and comes wrapped in an alluring frame. I was quite happy with the laptop’s performance, too, and it could comfortably crunch through routine office work, casual games and handle basic creative tasks like editing photos or 1080p clips. The laptop’s battery life did leave me wanting more, though. If you can look past that, however (and its high MRP), then by all means, go for it: the XPS 14 will not disappoint you.

It all comes down to personal preference, but for many users, competitors like the MacBook Pro 14 or Zephyrus G14 might be a more practical choice. However, if you want to make a statement, there is nothing that looks quite like the Dell XPS 14.

EN→SVThe 2024 XPS 14 isn’t the best laptop you can buy right now. It isn’t the fastest out there, or the thinnest, or lightest, and it doesn’t have class-leading battery life. It’s a high-quality jack-of-all-trades that can generally do everything you want it to, for a price. But that specific price is often close to over $2,000 if you want upgrades like an OLED screen or 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The fact of the matter is, even at its $1,799 base configuration, the XPS 14 is undercut by the M3 MacBook Pro, which is thinner, lighter, and boasts nearly twice as much battery life. On the power front, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 will get you the same OLED panel, longer battery life, and an actual graphics card you can game on for $1,600, or closer to $1,400 on sale.

EN→SVIf you are looking for a new powerful and compact machine, the Dell XPS 14 9440 also can offer solid premium build quality, a comfortable keyboard, and outstanding battery life. Of course, this gadget is expensive but that’s kind of expected. In terms of performance, this one is doing a better job than the smaller XPS 13 9340 with the same CPU. That’s normal because the main body is bigger as well as the cooling solution. That’s why the temperatures in long loads are acceptable and the CPU clocks are high, especially for thin 14-incher. In this case, the fans aren’t too loud and the base doesn’t become too hot. The base 1200p IPS display (HPXJN-145WU1) is very good. Calling this unit “basic” or “default” is a disgrace because it boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, a 95% sRGB color coverage, and a very good contrast ratio of 2100:1 which is a rare find when it comes to an IPS display.

The Dell XPS 14 (9440) makes a design departure, as do the XPS 13 and 16 for 2024. They all resemble the XPS 13 Plus, a change that perhaps puts form ahead of function. The XPS 14 has a 14.5” display with FHD+ and 3.2K OLED options and it sports Intel’s new 14th gen Meteor Lake CPU with an AI co-processor. As ever, this is a CNC aluminum unibody Windows 11 laptop that competes with the 14” Apple MacBook Pro, Razer Blade 14 and Asus ROG Zephyrus G14.

Intel Arc 8-Core: Integrerat grafikkort baserat på Xe LPG-arkitekturen (liknar de dedikerade Arc GPU:erna, men med fokus på effektivitet). Innehåller alla 8 Xe-kärnor (128 Xe-vektormotorer) och 8 strålspårningsenheter.
De här grafikkorten bör klara av alla nuvarande spel med acceptabel bildfrekvens, men inte nödvändigtvis med höga inställningar. Särskilt krävande spel kanske bara fungerar med låga inställningar. Till skillnad från prestandakorten hittar man däremot de här grafikkorten i bärbara datorer av lite mindre format med bättre batteritid.
