The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra is a beautifully designed phone with an extremely promising camera system, a lovely display and extremely fast charging. However, the usual Huawei caveats apply, and the lack of Google services and an outdated processor mean that the mainstream appeal is severely limited. I need to test further to see what it’s like to live with, but as of now, I can tell you that I’m enjoying it, especially the camera. There’s a lot of potential here that I’m excited to learn about.

The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra is a formidable cameraphone, just like the Huawei Pxx phones before it. Plus, it has an impressive design and build, an excellent display, superb charging capabilities, flagship-grade speakers, and whatnot. What it doesn't have is the Snapdragon 8 Gen performance and 5G connectivity outside China. It also doesn't have Google's Mobile Services, though this has not been that much of an issue since the existence of Gbox and the alternatives. We can see Huawei fans getting this phone in a heartbeat because it is shaping up to be that good. But it will be a tough job to convince anyone that is not after Huawei's camera experience, not outside its homeland at least. But does it matter anyway? Huawei is expecting to ship over 10 million Pura 70 units, most of them in China, which is plenty enough to keep it going.

The upgrade of the P series to Huawei’s Pura series is a perfect summary of the P series in the past 12 years. It is also a key move for the P series to start again with a new attitude and move to a new height. As Huawei’s first Ultra flagship, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra still has many constraints in the choice of hardware supply, but it has not affected Huawei’s firm confidence in its brand. Even though the price was raised to nearly 10,000 yuan, without a press conference, the new phone was sold out in just one minute after it went on sale online, and long queues reappeared in many offline Huawei stores. Putting aside this “overwhelming popularity” and returning to the product itself, how is Huawei Pura 70 Ultra? After some experience, we believe that this is a new generation Huawei flagship that is enough to satisfy everyone but is not perfect.

Overall, Huawei did a great job once again with the Pura 70 Pro’s cameras. It may be an iterative update over what we experienced with the P60 Pro, but we will not be surprised if the Pura 70 Pro (or the Pura 70 Ultra) will be considered as one of the best phone cameras for 2024.

De här grafikkorten är inte lämpliga för spel. Om spelet fungerar alls är det ofta med mycket låg bildfrekvens och andra problem med renderingen. Vanligt kontorsbruk och surfande bör däremot fungera bra.

En del nyare spel kan spelas med de här grafikkorten, men bara om de är mindre krävande. De har ändå tillräcklig kapacitet för kontorsbruk och film (möjligen högupplöst). Är grafikkretsen dessutom integrerad kan batteritiden vara utmärkt.
