Intel 3110M

Core i3-3110M är en tvåkärnig CPU för bärbara datorer från Intels Ivy Bridge-familj. Processorn stöder HyperThreading, vilket betyder att varje kärna kan hantera två trådar parallellt och på så sätt utnyttja kärnorna mer effektivt (behandlas som fyra kärnor av operativsystemet).

Precis som de Sandy-Bridge-baserade föregångarna i i3-serien har Core i3-3110M en L3-cache på 3 MB (samma som i5, medan i7-serien som har 4 MB).

Varje kärna har en klockfrekvens på 2,4 GHz och eftersom Turbo Boost-tekniken inte används i Core i3-serien ökas hastigheten inte dynamiskt, som den gör i Core i5 respektive Core i7.

Ivy Bridge är en förminskad version av Sandy Bridge med förbättringar av både GPU- och CPU-prestanda. Tillverkningsprocessen är 22nm istället för 32nm.

Ivy Bridge-arkitekturen har även introducerat s.k. 3D-transistorer som förbättrar effektiviteten jämfört med Sandy Bridge-processorer med samma klockfrekvens. Andra nya funktioner är stöd för PCI Express 3.0 och DDR3(L) -1600.

Prestandan med en Core i3-3110M är något bättre än motsvarande Sandy Bridge-CPU tack vare små förbättringar i arkitekturen och bör vara ca 5 % snabbare än föregångaren i3-2370M. Eftersom Turbo Boost inte stöds presterar i3-serien betydligt sämre än liknande processorer i i5/i7-serierna.

Den integrerade grafikkretsen HD Graphics 4000 har 16 exekveringsenheter (EUs) med hastigheter på mellan 650 MHz och 1000 MHz (med Turbo Boost), vilket är 200 MHz lägre än de snabbare modellerna i i5-serien och 250 MHz lägre än Core i7.

Precis som de flesta andra tvåkärniga Ivy Bridge-processorerna har i3-3110M en TDP på ​​35 W.
