NVIDIA T550 Laptop GPU
Nvidia T550 Laptop GPU (tidigare Quadro T550 Mobile) för bärbara datorer är ett professionellt mobilt grafikkort som bygger på Turing-arkitekturen (TU117-chip). Det är baserat på konsumentmodellen GeForce MX550 och har samma 1024 kärnor och en 64-bitars minnesbuss. Kortet erbjuder 4 GB GDDR6 med en maximal bandbredd på 112 GB/s och inga dedikerade displayutgångar (iGPU-displayutgångar används via Optimus). Chippet tillverkas i 12nm FinFET hos TSMC.
De professionella GPU:erna erbjuder certifierade drivrutiner som är optimerade för stabilitet och prestanda i professionella tillämpningar (CAD, DCC, medicinska, prospekterings- och visualiseringstillämpningar). Prestandan på dessa områden är därför mycket bättre jämfört med motsvarande konsument-GPU:er.
Turing-generationen introducerade inte bara raytracing för RTX-korten, utan optimerade även arkitekturen för kärnor och cacheminnen. Enligt Nvidia erbjuder CUDA-kärnorna nu en samtidig exekvering av flyttal- och heltalsoperationer för ökad prestanda i beräkningstunga arbetsbelastningar i moderna spel. Dessutom har cacheminnena omarbetats (ny enhetlig minnesarkitektur med dubbelt så mycket cache jämfört med Pascal). Detta leder till upp till 50 % fler instruktioner per klocka och en 40 % mer energieffektiv användning jämfört med Pascal. I motsats till de snabbare Quadro RTX-korten har T550 inte raytracing och Tensor-kärnor.
