Qualcomm SD 7+ Gen 2

Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 är en snabb mellanklass-SoC med 8 kärnor för smartphones och surfplattor (främst Android-baserade). Den introducerades i början av 2023 och har betydande fördelar jämfört med föregångaren Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 (därav den direkta övergången till Plus-beteckningen).

Qualcomm kombinerar en kraftfull ARM Cortex-X2 prestandakärna med klockfrekvenser på upp till 2,91 GHz med tre Cortex-A710-kärnor på 2,49 GHz och med fyra sparsamma Cortex-A510 effektivitetskärnor på 1,8 GHz. Som GPU används Adreno 725 med stöd för Vulkan 1.1 och Snapdragon Elite Gaming.

Qualcomm talar om 50 procent bättre processorprestanda och dubbelt så hög GPU- och AI-prestanda, samt 13 procent förbättrad effektivitet, jämfört med Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.

Den integrerade ISP:n kan hantera foton från en 200 MP-kamera samt 4K HDR-videor. Qualcomm lovar ett särskilt effektivt nattläge, där 30 foton tas nästan samtidigt och kombineras till en ljusare bild. AI-acceleratorn är inte bara dubbelt så snabb, utan också 40 procent effektivare, vilket bland annat möjliggör AI Super Resolution, så att spel och videor kan skalas intelligent till en högre upplösning.

Det integrerade Bluetooth-chippet stöder Qualcomm aptX Lossless samt Qualcomm High Speed Link för en stabilare anslutning. Qualcomm har också installerat ett Snapdragon X62 5G-modem som ger en nedladdningshastighet på upp till 4,4 Gbps. FastConnect 6900-chippet stöder Wi-Fi 6 och även Wi-Fi 6E.

SoC:n tillverkas i den moderna 4nm-processen hos TSMC och bör ha en mycket god energieffektivitet.
