The Realme GT 6 is an excellent option if you want a powerful smartphone under Rs.50,000 that delivers all the essentials. It has a premium curved display with Victus 2, a capable chipset, all-rounder cameras and a long-lasting battery with fast charging. However, you will need to deal with the boring industrial design, the average ultrawide-angle sensor, and the lack of wireless charging. Most of these are minor cons that can be easily overlooked. The Realme GT 6 is one of the few phones that I enjoyed using during my review. It is a balanced flagship killer that offers the perfect blend of all elements. Other phones that you can consider in this price range include the Xiaomi 14 Civi, OnePlus 12R, iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G and the OnePlus 11, which offer similar features and performance.

It has an extremely bright LTPO AMOLED display, a good set of cameras, and a powerful processor that works stably under heavy loads. The smartphone has loud and high-quality stereo speakers, lasts a long time on a single battery charge, and charges very quickly. Given the price of the smartphone, it will not be easy to find competitors with a processor that is close in performance. But there are always things that can be improved. The telephoto camera has only 2x zoom, while competitors offer 3x. And I would like to have eSIM support, which is available in more affordable models.

The camera performance, while great as an overall offering, could offer some improvement with the ultra-wide lens. Having said this, the Realme GT 6 is a good phone with a powerful processor, solid battery life with fast wired charging, and great all-around cameras. Granted, when you look at the competition, there are a variety of capable options, such as the likes of Poco F6, Xiaomi 14 Civi and OnePlus 12R.

So, we come to the conclusion and the question still remains — is the realme GT 6 really the “flagship killer” as what realme touted it to be? Before we answer that, we’d like to define what a flagship killer is, because this term has been used way too often and too loosely. For us, it means that the device “performs at par or very close to the levels of a true flagship despite not packing the greatest configuration and packaged at a more affordable price-point that’s below your average flagship device. In that sense, yes, the realme GT 6 has got what it takes to challenge any of the current flagship smartphones in the market today. The specs are not over-kill or over-done yet it manages to perform at a level that can be considered a true flagship.

It has a potent main camera, good zoom camera, snappy chipset, flagship-grade LTPO OLED panel, fast charging, excellent battery life, blazing-fast charging and loud and good-sounding speakers. In a sense, the GT 6 covers all the bases. But that doesn't mean there's no competition around that may give you more for the asking price in some aspects. And perhaps the biggest missteps of GT 6 are the ultrawide and selfie cameras. The competition has moved away from the dated 8MP ultrawide unit, and Realme should too.

A few shortcomings with the ultrawide camera and the added heft aside, the Realme GT 6 is a strong mid-range offering with a wide appeal.

Qualcomm Adreno 735: Grafikchip för smartphones och surfplattor, integrerat i Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.

Det här är mindre avancerade grafikkort för användare som ändå vill kunna spela spel. Nya spel bör vara spelbara, men ofta bara med låga detaljinställningar och låg upplösning. Eftersom moderna grafikkort i den här klassen har låg strömförbrukning kan även batteritiden vara bra.

SD 8s Gen 3: High-end SoC (System on a Chip) för smartphones som introducerades 2024. Det integrerar bland annat en snabb Cortex-X4 "Prime Core" med upp till 3 GHz och ytterligare 4 snabba Cortex-A720 2,8 GHz-kärnor. För att spara ström installerades också ytterligare 3 ARM Cortex-A520-kärnor med 2,3 GHz.
