Recension av Ninkear A16 Pro bärbar dator: Prisvärd, kraftfull och tyst under användning

Ännu bättre med AMD.

Ninkear A16 Pro är en förvånansvärt bra bärbar dator från Kina utrustad med AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS, 32 GB RAM och en 1 TB SSD för cirka 840 USD. Med sina bra funktioner överträffar den sin systermodell, N16 Pro, och kommer till och med nära Xiaomi RedmiBook Pro 16. Vi fick reda på exakt hur nära under vårt test.

Omdöme - Mycket bra, nästan inget dåligt

Med lanseringen av A16 Pro har Ninkear än en gång bevisat att de kan erbjuda ett prisvärt och högkvalitativt alternativ till modeller från etablerade varumärken. Även om vi inte kan säga något om dess långsiktiga funktion, imponerade A16 Pro under vårt test med sitt metallhölje, fina display, bra och framför allt konstant prestanda (även när den körs på batteri) och tyst drift för relativt lite pengar. Den placerar sig definitivt före sin systermodell - N16 Pro - när det gäller prestanda.

Poäng dras av för den svaga 720p-webbkameran, och den mycket högljudda och lite billiga klickplattan försämrar den annars goda användarupplevelsen för dess inmatningsenheter. Men det här är förlåtliga svagheter. Trots det stora batteriet blev vi överraskade av den bärbara datorns svaga batteritid - trots att tillverkaren har angett en drifttid på minst 10 timmar. Dessutom finns det säkert fortfarande utrymme för förbättringar när det gäller mjukvaruoptimering. USB-portarna skulle också kunna vara lite modernare.

På senare tid har Ninkears bärbara datorer överraskat oss. Den nya A15 Plus och N16 Pro från Fjärran Östern gjorde ganska bra ifrån sig i våra tester, så nu är det dags att testa A16 Pro. Höjdpunkterna inkluderar dess metallhölje och framför allt dess 16-tums skärm med en upplösning på 2 560 x 1 600 pixlar. Till skillnad från N16 Pro med en Intel-processor drivs den här modellen av en AMD Hawk Point-processor och en integrerad Radeon GPU. Den kostar strax över 800 dollar. Vi tog en titt på hur bra dess multimediaskärm verkligen är och hur väl avrundat dess kontorspaket är.

Fodral och anslutningsmöjligheter - Många okända faktorer i A16 Pro

Trots att det finns vissa likheter ser vår A16 Pro också helt annorlunda ut än N16 Pro på utsidan. Ninkear har valt ännu mer metall och mindre plast för sin A16 Pro. Eftersom allt är metallblått ser A16 Pro ut som om den har gjutits från en enda form. Tyvärr sprakar och spricker displaylocket avsevärt när det vrids. Basen är å andra sidan mycket stabil.

Överlag ser designen bra ut, med "Ninkear" i svarta bokstäver i ett av de övre hörnen på locket. Annars lyser den bärbara datorn med blå elegans och enkelhet. Skärmen kan öppnas 180 grader, men gångjärnet sitter tyvärr inte tillräckligt hårt. Luftuttagen är dolda bakom det långa gångjärnet och en fingeravtryckssensor är integrerad i strömknappen.

Tillbehören är värda beröm: Förutom tangentbordsklistermärken i olika språkversioner får användaren även en USB-mus och en musmatta.

Tyvärr har dess webbkamera endast en upplösning på 720p och lider av höga färgavvikelser och låg skärpa. Den stöder endast Wi-Fi 6 utan E-suffixet, så det snabba 6 GHz-nätverket saknas, och dess överföringshastigheter i 5 GHz-nätverket är ganska genomsnittliga.

För att öppna enheten behöver du bara ta bort 13 Phillips-skruvar. Det verkar som om det knappt finns några klämmor på basplattan, så den lossnar omedelbart. Inuti kan du sedan komma åt alla viktiga komponenter som SSD, RAM, batteri, Wi-Fi-modul och kylsystem. Det finns en andra M.2-plats för SSD-enheter.

Tyvärr har den bärbara datorn inte stöd för Thunderbolt och tillverkaren verkar inte vilja ge några fler detaljer om de två USB-C-portarna - eller vad exakt betyder fullfjädrad USB-C?

Hållbarhet

Den bärbara datorn levereras i två kartonger - den ena inuti den andra. På insidan består dock förpackningen och skyddsmaterialet av mycket plast. Tillverkaren har inte lämnat någon information omCO2-utsläppen under produktionen.

Inmatningsenheter - Bra tangentbord, bullriga pekplattor

Tangentbordets layout är mycket snygg och skiljer sig från N16 Pro. På höger sida har en numerisk knappsats med små tangenter klämts in bredvid de andra, ganska stora tangenterna. Tyvärr är de vertikala piltangenterna halverade i höjdled. Den bärbara datorn levereras med en amerikansk tangentbordslayout som standard, men talare av andra språk behöver inte oroa sig, eftersom tillverkaren inkluderar märkningsklistermärken för olika andra språk.

Det känns förvånansvärt bra att skriva på tangentbordet - även om dess rörelse är låg är återkopplingen märkbar och klickljuden är ganska tysta, med endast mellanslagstangenten som är märkbart högre. En vit bakgrundsbelysning i två nivåer ger stöd i mörkret.

Den mycket stora pekplattan (ca 12,8 x 9 cm) är lätt att föra fingret över och utföra gester på. Endast de integrerade musknapparna verkar lite billiga med sina höga klick och är därför mindre trevliga att använda, även om återkopplingen är bra och utlöses på ett tillförlitligt sätt.

När det gäller den installerade matta IPS-skärmen måste till och med Hwinfo ge upp ("unknown") - en sökning via hårdvaru-ID (CSO1623) indikerar att det är en Lenovopanel, men inte heller detta gav några definitiva resultat. Den har en upplösning på 2 560 x 1 600 pixlar och ska täcka sRGB fullt ut, ha en hög kontrast och köras i 120 Hz.

Vi uppmätte en genomsnittlig ljusstyrka på strax under 400 nits, och belysningen är bra 91%. Dess svartnivå är för hög i fabriksinställningarna och kontrasten blir lidande som ett resultat av detta. Vid kalibrering sjunker skärmens svartnivå och kontrasten stiger till över 1.200:1.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Testförhållanden

A16 Pro har inga egna förinställda prestandaprofiler eller någon Kontrollcenter-app. Vi ställde därför in Windows energiprofiler till "prestanda" för våra prestandabänkmärken och till "energisparande" under batteritesterna.

Processor

AMD Ryzen 7 AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS från Hawk Point-serien klassas som en av de mer avancerade processorerna för bärbara datorer, har 8 kärnor och kan bearbeta 16 trådar samtidigt, med klockhastigheter från 3,8 till 5,1 GHz. Den integrerade NPU:n för lokala AI-applikationer uppnår upp till 16 TOPS, och hela CPU:n klarar upp till 38 TOPS.

Vårt uthållighetstest Cinebench R15 bekräftade att processorn presterar mycket konsekvent utan att prestandan försämras. Ryzen presterade exakt på samma nivå som en Intel Ultra 7 155H i Medion S10 - samma processor i Xiaomi RedmiBook Pro 16 var bara något snabbare i början, men detta utjämnades när det kom till kontinuerlig prestanda.

I alla CPU-tester presterade Ryzen 7 något under våra förväntningar, men tog ändå andraplatsen i vår jämförelse bakom RedmiBook, och den placerade sig till och med före Medion och alla andra konkurrenter.

Till vår stora glädje tappar A16 Pro inte något av sin prestanda i batteriläge, vilket ytterligare en Cinebench R15-körning visade.

DPC-latens

Små problem uppstod så fort vi flyttade muspekaren efter att ha startat LatencyMon. Dessa ökade minimalt när vi öppnade webbläsaren; att öppna flera flikar hade sedan inte längre någon inverkan på värdet. Uppspelningen av vår 4K/60 fps YouTube-video lyckades utan några tappade bildrutor, även om latensvärdet ökade något igen i Prime95-testet på 10 sekunder. Sammantaget var dock latensvärdet inte särskilt högt och var till och med det näst lägsta i jämförelsen.

HWinfo matchade också SSD-enheten - vår titt inuti den bärbara datorn avslöjade varumärket "Authorain" med en kapacitet på 1 TB. En Google-sökning gav inte heller något om detta, men som vi vet är det inte vad det brukade vara. Namnskylten säger något om 6 GB/s, men vi mätte runt 2 GB/s. Konkurrentmodellerna var snabbare, men det märker man inte så mycket av i praktiken.

Radeon 780M som är integrerad i processorn kan användas för 3D-applikationer. Du kommer inte att spela några aktuella, krävande spel med det, men det bör ändå vara tillräckligt för multimediaapplikationer och åtminstone lite lätt spelande.

I 3DMark-testet presterade den på målnivån och överträffade den gamla Intel UHD Graphics i Ninkear N16 Pro. Jämfört med Arc 8 Graphics i Core Ultra 7 155H placerade sig vår A16 Pro i mitten mellan den mycket snabba RedmiBook och den ganska långsamma Medion S10 - båda med samma Intel iGPU.

Inte ens i 3D-testet via Fire Strike tappade den prestanda när den var borta från eluttaget.

Vid spel gjorde den till och med något bättre ifrån sig än RedmiBook med Intel Graphics, vilket visar att Intel fortfarande slösar bort en hel del potential med sina drivrutiner. Gamla och mindre krävande spel som GTA V kan också spelas i Full HD med höga detaljer, medan aktuella titlar som Cyberpunk körs smidigt i Full HD i bästa fall med medelstora detaljer - men du kommer mer sannolikt att behöva välja minsta detaljer. Dess prestanda under Cyberpunk 2077-uthållighetstestet var trevlig och konsekvent.

Strömförbrukning

Strömförbrukningen är ganska låg, särskilt i viloläge. Förbrukningen stiger något under belastning, men är fortfarande lämplig jämfört med dess prestanda. Tyvärr saknar vi jämförelsevärden från RedmiBook här, medan de andra, mindre kraftfulla konkurrenterna förbrukar mindre under belastning. Skärmens ljusstyrka var inte obetydlig när man mätte förbrukningen i viloläge, med cirka 4 till 5 watt mellan låg och full ljusstyrka.

Körtider

Ninkear har installerat ett stort 80-Wh batteri, vilket är mer än vad konkurrenterna har (med undantag för RedmiBook). Den bärbara datorn höll dock inte längre än sina rivaler, åtminstone inte i våra tester. 7.5 timmar i WLAN-testet var i allmänhet okej, men vissa konkurrenter verkade hålla längre med mindre kapacitet.
