AMD har satt mycket press på Intel med sin Ryzen 3000-familj. De har också gjort mycket rätt och den återupplivade konkurrensen är ljuv musik för kunderna. Ryzen 7 3700X kostar 3.490 kronor, ett pris som ställer den jämsides Core i7-9700K. Zen 2-chippet har inte bara utmärkt flerkärnig prestanda utan lyckas också bra när det kommer till enkelkärnade uppgifter. Den får endast 4 poäng mindre än Core i7-9700K i CB R15 Single 64Bit. Ryzen 7 3700X har dessutom stöd för PCIe 4.0 som går att kombinera med de nya Navi-grafikchippen. Detta hade lett till ett riktigt prisvärt system om det inte hade varit för att X570-moderkorten för tillfället är dyra. Ryzen 3700X och dess Zen 2-syskon fungerar också på äldre moderkort, men då blir man utan en del av de hastighetsökningar som PCIe 4.0 medför. Ett X570-moderkort är för tillfället det enda sättet att garantera att Ryzen 7 3700X förblir framtidssäkrad.
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X är riktigt prisvärd och har dessutom riktigt bra prestanda. Zen 2 når fortfarande inte riktigt fram till Intel i vissa enkelkärnade uppgifter, men AMD har gjort ett fantastiskt jobb med att minska gapet i prestanda.
Ryzen 7 3700X har onekligen bättre flerkärnig prestanda än något modernt Intel-chipp och presterar till och med bättre än Core i9-9900K. Det är dock värt att tänka på Ryzen 9 3900X och Ryzen 9 3950X om du övervägar att skaffa en Zen 2 CPU. De kommer att ha 12 respektive 16 kärnor och således ännu bättre flerkärnig prestanda vilket gör dem mer lämpade för gamers, streamers och kreatörer än Ryzen 7 3700X.
Generellt sett har jämförbara Intel-processorer en fördel när det kommer till enkelkärnade uppgifter trots att AMD knappar in med Zen 2. Vår recensionsenhet imponerade dock när det kom till spel och processorn lyckades också bra i fråga om energiförbrukning. För att sammanfatta så har AMD tagit stora kliv framåt med sin Zen 2-arkitektur och Ryzen 7 3700X har minskat det enkelkärnade avståndet som tidigare fanns jämfört med processorer som Core i7-9700K.
