Acer Swift 7 SF714 är en ultra-kompakt subnotebook som lämpar sig väl åt portabel användning. Swift 7 är en aning bättre än sin föregångare på samtliga områden: den största skillnaden är den större multitouch-skärmen på 14 tum. Acer har dessutom reviderat chassit för att göra nya Swift 7 ännu tunnare än sin föregångare. Tyvärr äventyrar detta stabiliteten en aning.
Acer har behållt det begränsade portutbudet i sin nya Swift 7, men vi välkomnar att ett LTE-modem ingår. Vi hade dock önskat att Acer inkluderade en minneskortsläsare då det hade bidragit till enhetens flexibilitet.
Vi har dock mycket beröm att ge de medföljande tillbehören. Fodralet är välgjort och känns lyxigt. Detta gäller även USB Typ C-hubben, som utökar portutbudet på Swift 7 med en USB Typ A-port och en enkel HDMI-port.
Acer Swift 7 SF714 är bättre än sin föregångare på alla områden, särskilt när det kommer till den större multitouch-skärmen. Även priset har ändrats; mer specifikt har det ökat. Har Acer kanske missat något när det kommer till den punkten?
En stor anledning till kritik är priset på Swift 7. Acer Swift 7 SF714 kostar en tårdrypande summa på 17.000 kronor, vilket innebär ett betydligt lägre förhållande mellan pris och prestanda jämfört med föregångaren. I slutändan får varje intresserad köpare själv avgöra huruvida innovationerna och den aningen förbättrade prestandan berättigar denna kraftiga prisökning.
På grund av det höga priset kan vi inte ge Acer Swift 7 SF714 en definitiv köprekommendation.
Ytterligare ett klagomål rör styrplattan. Avsaknaden av en klickmekanism gör det mycket svårare att använda enheten i vardagen.
Totalt sett är Acer Swift 7 SF714 en smart och ultramobil enhet med imponerande batteritid som dras ner av sitt höga pris.
