Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Alcatel 3V får jämförelsevis medelmåttiga resultat i våra prestandatester, i huvudsak på grund av en utdaterad SoC. Den gamla hårdvaran påverkar även batteritiden, då 3V är bedrövlig på den punkten jämfört med våra jämförelseenheter.

Alcatel 3V är en billig mittenskiktstelefon som hålls tillbaka av utdaterad hårdvara och kort batteritid. På grund av dessa anledningar kan 3V inte tävla med sina likvärdigt prissatta konkurrenter.

Bortsett från dessa faktorer är 3V är en gedigen enhet tack vare en imponerande kamera och en skaplig skärm. Enheten kommer dessutom med Android Oreo 8.0, vilket inte är självklart för mittenskikts-enheter. Det är heller inte ofta vi ser enheter som har stöd för dual-SIM och microSD-kort samtidigt, vilket är en fördel med 3V. I stort gillade vi designen och konstruktionskvaliteten, men den kan se billig ut när man jämför den med konkurrenter som har metallhöljen.
