Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

I vår recension visar sig Alcatel 3X vara en gedigen mittenskikts-smartphone som egentligen inte erbjuder tillräckligt med prestanda för att motivera prislappen på 1.900 kronor. Den som köper Alcatel 3X får en Android-telefon som kan hantera vardagsuppgifter. Användarupplevelsen är dessutom skaplig. Kameran är lämplig för enstaka foton och ger användbara bilder vid bra ljusförhållanden.

Alcatel 3X står ut med sin kontrastrika skärm, men den har inget annat att erbjuda.

Acatel 3X har inget speciellt att erbjuda vid jämförelse med konkurrerande enheter. Det som attraherar mest är den kontrastrika skärmen. Men andra tillverkare erbjuder telefoner med liknande pris och prestanda. I slutändan får man fundera över huruvida personliga preferenser motiverar ett köp av Alcatel 3X. Oavsett så är telefonen lämplig för enklare appar såsom WhatsApp eller för att ta enstaka foton.
