In review: Aorus X3 Plus v3. Test model provided by Aorus

Det finns betydligt fler alternativ i spelsegmentet bland 17-tumsmodellerna, så det kan vara svårt att rekommendera Aorus X7 Pro om den ställs mot väletablerade ASUS ROG eller Alienware-modeller.

I det betydligt mindre 14-tumssegmentet utmärker sig däremot X3 Plus mycket positivt. Designen är vågad utan att vara excentrisk, den matta QHD-skärmen håller hög kvalitet, chassit består helt av aluminium och prestandan stryps inte under spel. 3 st mSATA-platser kanske är lite overkill och vi hade gärna offrat en kortplats för en vanlig 2,5-tums SATA-disk för platskrävande spel. Oavsett det erbjuder X3 Plus fler anslutningsmöjligheter, funktioner och enklare systemkontroller än Razer Blade 14, minus glaspekskärmen.

Nackdelarna inkluderar högt fläktljud, höga yttemperaturer och bara genomsnittliga högtalare. Men låt oss vara ärliga – lågt fläktljud och kraftiga högtalare är inget man kan förvänta sig av en en ultratunn 14-tums speldator med ett GTX 970M. Fläktarna kan även ställas in manuellt beroende på belastning.

Locket är lite skörare och knarrar mycket lättare än Blade 14 och Gigabyte P34W. Basen känns desto styvare. Utformningen av Blade 14 ligger ett steg före Aorus i fråga om chassikvalitet. Den blanka pekplattan är ett annat dåligt designval som inte fungerar bra i praktiken.

Om man kan förbättra det här i framtida X3 Plus-modeller kan Aorus bli det bästa alternativet i storleksklassen.
