2020 års AMD-drivna VivoBook Flip kunde inte släppts vid ett bättre tillfälle. Intels 10:e generation, Ice Lake och Comet Lake-U, känns redan gamla jämfört med Zen 2-serien i fråga om ren prestanda och dessutom gör generellt sett lägre utgångspriser för AMD-laptops att Core i7-alternativen känns ännu mindre tilltalande just nu. Intel kommer försöka ta igen viss tappad fart senare i år när Tiger Lake släpps, men fram tills dess regerar AMD-laptops som vår VivoBook fritt.

Vad det gäller själva datorn behöver man inte offra någon prestanda trots det låga priset. Däremot saknar hårdvaran en del lyx som Thunderbolt 3, USB C-laddning, WiFi 6 och IR-kamera. Den största nedskärningen rör skärmen, vars smala färgomfång bleknar i jämförelse med ZenBook-serien. Men i övrigt är detta en snabb och välbyggd budgetlaptop som passar åt studenter, för multimedia hemma eller till en resa då och då.

En billig omvandlingsbar som har högre prestanda än de flesta betydligt dyrare modellerna i den här storlekskategorin. Den ligger över genomsnittet på nästan alla områden, med undantag för den mediokra skärmen.
