Med Zenbook Flip 14 har Asus en omvandlingsbar i sitt utbud vars skärm på 14 tum har fått plats i ett hölje som har samma dimensioner som en laptop på 13.3 tum. Så det här är en tunn och kompakt enhet. Datorn drivs av en fyrkärnig ULV-processor som erbjuder mer än tillräckligt med processorkraft för applikationer av kontors- och internet-slag.
En SSD-enhet säkrar att systemet körs smidigt. Den kan bytas ut mot en NVMe-modell om så behövs. Men för att göra det behöver du öppna laptopens hölje.
Trots sitt pris på nästan 10 000 kronor så lämnar Zenbook Flip 14 ändå rum för förbättring.
Batteritiden visar sig vara riktigt bra. Detta ackompanjeras av ett hyfsat tangentbord, som uppfyller behoven för hemanvändning. Tangentbordsbelysningen är också en fördel. Skärmen ger inte anledning till någon större entusiasm. Ljusstyrkan och särskilt kontrasten hade behövt vara högre - prisnivån på denna omvandlingsbara kräver det.
Vi känner att USB Typ C 3.1 Gen-1 anslutningen är olämplig då den bara kan användas för dataöverföring. Vi hade åtminstone förväntat oss att laptopens batteri kunde laddats via USB Typ C. Det här är trots allt en portabel enhet. Av princip borde Asus ha lagt in en Thunderbolt 3-anslutning. Dessutom har Asus bara utrustat Zenbook Flip med en microSD-kortläsare som gör sitt arbete ganska avslappnat.
Tillslut måste vi påpeka det elektroniska sprakandet hos vår testenhet, som denna omvandlingsbara ger ifrån sig i varierande grad av intensitet. Detta borde heller inte hända på en enhet i den här prisklassen.
