Oavsett om vi har AMD att tacka för Intels snabba helomvändning när det gäller tillgängligheten av sex-kärniga CPU:er på konsumentnivå kommer vi aldrig att veta säkert. Men det blev väldigt tydligt för oss att Core i7-8700K träffar rätt med multi-kärnig prestanda nästan i par med Ryzen och har dessutom en väldigt hög singel-kärnig prestanda. På grund av detta står den sig väldigt bra för spel och är därför en extremt mångsidig mikroprocessor för både proffs och genomsnittliga konsumenter. Detsamma kan sägas om i5-8400: dess spelprestanda är exceptionell jämfört med AMD:s Ryzen och rekommenderas därför varmt till spelintresserade.
