En spellaptop på 15.6 tum med en Core i7-9750H CPU och en GeForce RTX 2060 GPU kostar oftast runt 12.000 kronor. AMD-baserade Dell G5 15 SE kan, för 3.000 kronor mindre, konfigureras med en Ryzen 5 4600H CPU och en Radeon RX 5600M GPU, som ger ungefär samma resultat. På en marknad som i huvudsak domineras av Intel/Nvidia-alternativ är prestandan per krona därmed den största fördelen med det här systemet.
Det finns några brister att ha i åtanke, där temperaturen och fläktens ljudnivå är de mest slående. En varm processor kan man förvänta sig på en spellaptop, men när man börjar nå ~95 C när man spelar trots att fläktarna är i full gång lämnar det inte direkt ett gott första intryck, särskilt inte i fråga om systemets långsiktiga hållbarhet.
Övriga brister rör i huvudsak det låga priset. Bakgrundsbelysningen har märkbar bleeding, den använder USB 2.0-portar, saknar "adaptive sync" och har ett chassi som helt består av plast - saker som oftast kompromissas med på bärbara speldatorer för under 10.000 kronor. Från ett prestanda-, service- eller skärmperspektiv kunde den däremot kostat flera tusen kronor mer.
Det är mycket kraft till ett lågt pris. Men man bör tänka på att den imponerande prestandan resulterar i väldigt höga temperaturer och högljudda fläktar.
