Dell Precision 3510 är en professionell enhet i workstation-segmentet med ett tydligt fokus på mobilitet. Tack vare sin tunna profil, långa batteritid och robusta chassi är den en riktigt intressant alternativ för mobila användare. Andra fördelar är det bekväma urvalet portar och garanti/supportalternativen, liksom seriens prislappar.

Man får dock leva med kompromisser i några viktiga avseenden, som att prestandan sjunker märkbart under ihållande arbetsbelastning, och fläktljudet når obekväma nivåer i samma scenarier. En annan, mindre idealisk egenskap, är de begränsade uppgraderingsmöjligheterna och CAD-prestandan generellt. Vissa konkurrenter erbjuder helt enkelt mer.

Även om du kanske kan leva med nackdelarna beroende användningsområdet, kommer ingen att uppskatta vår testkonfigurations skärm. Med tanke på målgruppen är uppfyller den inga rimliga krav på upplösning, ljusstyrka, kontrast, färgskala, ljusfördelning eller betraktningsvinklar.

Lyckligtvis erbjuder Dell andra skärmar i sin onlinebutik, så det här problemet kan undvikas helt mot en merkostnad. Då kommer den också att göra ett betydligt bättre helhetsintryck.
