Bra blir ännu bättre? Medan Dells Venue 11 Pro 7130 (Haswell i5) nästan straffades med ett betyg på 78% i surfplattesegmentet, skördar Venue 11 Pro med Broadwell (Core M-5Y10a) desto fler poäng. Vi testade den som hybrid i kombination med tangentbordsdockan, som vi tycker gör 10,8-tummaren rättvisa.
Dell ville skapa en praktisk Windowsenhet för kontorsanvändare och har träffat rätt. Lång batteritid kombineras med bra prestanda, underhållsalternativ, omfattande produktivitetstillbehör, anständig kamera, tyst drift och en mycket bra IPS-skärm i Full HD. Det enda vi kritiserar är egentligen tangentbordet, som har en odefinierad tryckpunkt.
Frågan kvarstår om Broadwellplattan gör en bärbar dator överflödig? Så är det faktiskt. Venue 11 Pro erbjuder enastående prestanda (jämfört med små bärbara eller surfplattor med Haswell). Den lilla surfplattan bygger på den fläktlösa Broadwellarkitekturen, som ofta kan konkurrera med de bästa Haswellplattorna. Dell säljer alla tänkbara tillbehör för den som vill använda Venue 11 Pro som sin enda dator, inklusive olika tangentbord, ett stativ för surfplattan (stöder två bildskärmar) och digitizer.
Samtliga konkurrenter i samma prisklass har kortare batteritid. Toshibas Portégé Z10t är inte lika välbyggd, men har ett överlägset tangentbord. Liksom Toshiba har HP Pro X2 410 G1 ett bra tangentbord och är trots sin Haswellprocessor också passivt kyld. Surface Pro 3 är det bästa bygget, men det är tveksamt om företagsanvändare kommer att vänja sig vid de små tangenterna.
