Dell XPS 12 9250 är en tunn 12,5-tums 2-i-1-dator. Intel Core M7 6Y75-processorn har tillräckligt med kraft för rutinuppgifter och en TDP som tillåter passiv kylning. SSD:n imponerar med höga läshastigheteter och säkerställer ett snabbt system.
12,5-tumsskärmen med 3840x2160 pixlar övertygar med hög kontrast, bra färgåtergivning och bra betraktningsvinklar. Dessutom är den mycket snabb som inmatningsenhet. Tangentbordsdockan går bra ihop med surfplattans utseende och tilltalar med tysta tangenter och en exakt pekplatta.
Trots det finns viss anledning till kritik. Skärmens vinkel kan inte anpassas till sittställning, vilket inte tillåter en ergonomisk arbetsställning vid skrivbordet. Även om vår testenhet var försedd med den starkaste processorn från Intels Core m-serie hänger den inte riktigt med prestandamässigt. Exempelvis är Microsofts Surface Pro 4 med Core m3 ibland mycket snabbare. Vi hade också hoppats på bättre batteritid.
Oavsett köprekommendation måste man vara medveten om vilka större fördelar och brister enheten har. Vår testkonfiguration är är definitivt ingen bra affär eftersom den inte kan dra nytta av den dyrare processorn. Samtidigt är den en av få enheter som begåvats med en 4K-panel i 12,5-tumsformat. Om det känns viktigt kanske en konfiguration med en enklare CPU vara intressant.
