HP Elitebook 840 G5 är en företagsenhet av hög kvalitet, nu i sin 5:e generation. Efterföljaren till HP EliteBook 840 G4 har fått en helt ny design och en modern Kaby Lake Refresh-processor, även om den sistnämnda inte kan nå sin fulla potential. Som köpare behöver man också tänka på vilken konfiguration man köper, då HP EliteBook 840 G5 också finns tillgänglig med 7:e generationens Intel-processorer.
Vår testenhet är utrustad med en Intel Core i5-8250U, 8 GB RAM och en SSD på 256 GB och enheten levererar väldigt bra systemprestanda. HP har också beslutat att bara erbjuda IPS-paneler till den här versionen, vilket har stora fördelar. För ett pris på 12 000 kronor så får man perfekt hantverk, bra prestanda och många säkerhetsfunktioner, vilket är ett måste för en företagslaptop.
Den nya HP EliteBook 840 G5 är imponerande med sin tjusiga design och perfekta hantverk. Dom bra inmatningsenheterna är precis lika viktiga som dom många säkerhetsfunktionerna som EliteBook 840 G5 har att erbjuda.
HP EliteBook 840 G5 tappar flera poäng på området energiförbrukning och batteritid. Dess konkurrens visar att den kunde ha varit bättre. Men behöver du inte klara av långa sträckor utan tillgång till ett eluttag så kommer du bli väldigt nöjd med HP EliteBook 840 G5. Vi besvärades mer av den ologiska avsaknaden av en SD-kortläsare. Som tur är så kommer denna företagskollega med en USB Typ C-port som har stöd för Thunderbolt.
