Om du letar efter en avancerad omvandlingsbar på 13 tum med de senaste Intel-processorerna från generation 10 har du i dagsläget två större alternativ: HP Spectre x360 13 eller Dell XPS 13 7390 2-in-1. HP:s modell känns rejälare att hålla i och har löstagbar M.2-lagring, ett större batteri, WWAN som tillval och en USB Typ A-port i full storlek — saker som inte återfinns på Dells alternativ. Om du värderar dessa egenskaper kommer du få ut mer av Spectre x360 13.
HP:s laptop snubblar när det kommer till att få ut mesta möjliga prestanda ur Ice Lake-processorn. CPU-klockfrekvenserna, GPU-klockfrekvenserna, fläktens ljudnivå, energiförbrukningen och bilduppdateringen i spel varierar stort och ger en dålig bild av vad Intel Ice Lake är kapabel till. Vi vet att Core i7-1065G7 kan bättre, vilket exemplifieras av XPS 13 7390 2-in-1 eller Yoga C940 som har jämnare prestandasiffror. Det är dock fortfarande ett steg upp från Spectre x360 13 med Whiskey Lake-U, särskilt när det kommer till mobilitet och skärmens ljusstyrka, men skillnaden i prestanda mellan de båda är mindre än vad vi hade förväntat oss.
Ett utmärkt chassi som nu är ännu mindre än tidigare samtidigt som den har fler funktioner än de flesta andra omvandlingsbara modeller som riktar sig åt vanliga konsumenter. HP:s implementering av Ice Lake är dock sämre än genomsnittet och bör definitivt undvikas om du är en casual-gamer.
