Spectre X360 13 är den bästa 2-i-1-datorn hittills i serien. Vår största invändning med tidigare Spectre-maskiner är att de varit för stora och klumpiga jämfört med konkurrenterna, men de tunnare ramarna har hjälpt till att reducera både storlek och vikt utan några drastiska konsekvenser för kvaliteten. Den nya designen är egentligen det bästa med nya Spectre X360 13 snarare än den nya hårdvaran. Andra fördelar är längre batteritid, NVMe-SSD, bättre integrerad GPU-prestanda, och 2 st. Thunderbolt 3-portar.
Mångsidigheten med konceptet kommer på bekostnad av funktioner som MicroSD-läsare – eller ens någon inkluderad adapter för HDMI/VGA-stöd. Tangentbordet är bra, men inte fullt i klass med rivaler som XPS 13 eller Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga. Datorns mycket svaga Turbo Boost-potential innebär att processorns prestanda är sämre än väntat från en Core i7-7500U.
HP har valt en rättfram approach med nya Spectre, och vi tycker att det är till det bättre för målgruppen, d.v.s. Ultrabook- och MacBook Air-användare. Vi ser fram emot att testa samma koncept i det befintliga 15-tumsformatet. Spectre X360 13 är tillräckligt kraftfull för mediekonsumtion, samtidigt som den är tillräckligt lätt och portabel för att fungera som surfplatta emellanåt.
