Honor Play är inte gjord för hardcore-gamers som vill få ut så många bildrutor som möjligt ur sin smartphone. Den riktar sig åt en större grupp av mobila användare som letar efter en snygg enhet som även låter dem spelar krävande spel. Honor Play har lyckats uppfylla dess krav: Den har tillräckligt med prestanda, skärmen har god färgprecision, det finns ingen fördröjning när den reagerar på inmatning och den har lång batteritid.
Men förvänta dig inte allt för mycket från funktionerna som luktar marknadsföring: 3D-ljudeffekten för hörlurar är ganska kul, precis som vibrationsfunktionen i PUBG. Det sistnämnda är dock begränsat till enstaka spel för tillfället. Det återstår att se om fler spel kommer stödja funktionen i framtiden. Mjukvaran avger inte heller någon stark spelkänsla - Xiaomi och Razer visade mycket tydligare att det rörde sig om en dedikerad speltelefon.
Honor Play är en diskret spelsmartphone för genomsnittliga behov med ett bra förhållande mellan pris och prestanda.
Totalt sett lämnar detta oss med en riktigt bra mittenskikts-telefon som finns att köpa till ett bra pris, precis som förväntat från Honor. Alla gamers med vanliga krav som då och då vill spela ett mer krävande spel men inte bryr sig allt för mycket om grafiken bör bli nöjda med den här enheten. Om du letar efter ett 120 Hz-läge eller en flashigare speldesign får du leta lite mer. Å andra sidan är Honor Play mer diskret. Om du vill spel spel under ett tråkigt möte kan Honor Play vara ett bra val.
