Huawei Mate 20 Pro är en utmärkt smartphone som har alla möjliga former av flaggskeppshårdvara. Det är den första enheten vi testat med en Kirin 980 SoC och den erbjuder en mer raffinerad version av P20 Pros redan utmärkta trippelkamera. Vidare har Mate 20 Pro ett enormt batteri som levererar klass-ledande batteritid trots att enheten vid skrivande stund har en jämförelsevis hög energiförbrukning. Enheten har också snabba kommunikationsmoduler, snabb trådbunden och trådlös laddning och är IP68-certifierad mot intrång av vatten och damm.
Huawei har inte hållt tillbaka när de utvecklat Mate 20 Pro, som verkligen förtjänar titeln flaggskeppstelefon från toppskiktet.
Den klarar sig dock inte undan kritik. Högtalarna ligger bara straxt över genomsnittet och Huaweis beslut att placera huvudhögtalaren på Mate 20 Pro i telefonens USB Typ C-port kan tyckas vara en designbrist. På samma sätt övertygades vi inte av Huaweis nya Nano-minneskort då det inte har någon direkt fördel gentemot ett vanligt microSD-kort. Vår testenhet hade dessutom jämförelsevis hög energiförbrukning, men det kan till viss del förklaras av att den kör mjukvara som ännu inte är redo för släpp. Vi tänker oss att den inte har lika många batterioptimeringar som den mjukvara som kommer att levereras tillsammans med de färdiga enheterna. Vi hade också önskat att Huawei släppte varianterna med mer lagringsutrymme i fler områden än i Asien, men detta hindrar inte Mate 20 Pro från att vara en av 2018 års bästa flaggskeppstelefoner.
