Omdöme - MatePad Pro är en lyxig specialsurfplatta

Det är i princip omöjligt att ge ett generellt omdöme för Huaweis surfplatta eftersom den saknar Googles tjänster och Widevine L1-certifiering - här är det individuella preferenser och vad man vill använda den till som avgör. Multimedia-älskare bör känna till att den är dålig på att spela upp DRM-skyddat innehåll. Så fort en testenhet med tysk mjukvara når oss ska vi förtydliga huruvida detta även gäller den tyska versionen.
Att den saknar Googles tjänster gör att det blir svårt att använda Googles appar och leder till problem med en del appar från tredje part. Det går att installera appar från externa källor, men det kan innebära en säkerhetsrisk för ovana användare och det är inte heller alltid vana användare förstår hur APK-filer från externa källor interagerar med deras system.
Trots detta har MatePad Pro ett högtalarsystem som låter bra, lång batteritid och skaplig prestanda. Dessutom har den riktigt hög konstruktionskvalitet och funktioner som man sällan hittar på surfplattor, exempelvis trådlös laddning och omvänd trådlös laddning.
Men MatePad Pros hårdvara är inte bortom kritik. Med tanke på priset borde plattan komma med möjlighet till säker biometrisk upplåsning samt en tillräckligt kraftfull nätadapter på 40 Watt. Vidare kan en lyxig platta antingen ha en OLED-skärm eller en IPS-skärm med hög bilduppdateringsfrekvens som iPad Pro. Att man valt att använda LC-teknik med tillhörande svagheter (moln-effekt, betraktningsvinklarna) i kombination med ett kamerahål (som kastar skuggor) lär inte göra skärm-fans nöjda.
MatePad Pro är en vacker surfplatta, men generellt sett kan vi inte rekommendera den åt de flesta användarna.
