Huawei P Smart är som en image-kampanj för smartphones i mittenskiktet. Dess relevanta hårdvaruspecifikationer såsom CPU, GPU eller mobilegenskaper motsvarar dom hos andra mittenskiktstelefoner såsom P8 Lite, Mate 10 Lite och Honor 9 Lite. Mate 10 Lite har lite mer RAM och lagringsminne, men är också dyrare än P Smart. Och till skillnad från Mate 10 Lite så behöver P Smart inte jämföras med en bättre utrustad toppmodell med liknande namn. På så sätt kan vår fråga från recensionens början om vad denna enhet borde klassas som bäst besvaras med att den uppfattas som medelklass.
Huawei P Smart är en hyfsad mittenskikts-telefon utan ambitioner att ta sig an något av dom välkända flaggskeppen.
Förhållandet mellan pris och prestanda är hyfsat och detsamma gäller dess totala prestanda - den är inte på något sätt snabbast, men i huvudsak alltid i den övre halvan. Operativsystemet och EMUI är uppdaterade. Det högkvalitativa aluminiumhöljet med sitt utmärkta förhållande mellan skärm och kropp passar också dom ambitioner som P Smart har, men det döljer inte det faktum att det finns två stora brister: det högst begränsade urvalet av mobilfrekvenser och den korta batteritiden vid belastning.
