Om den inte är trasig, laga den inte - detta kan ha varit Lenovos ingångpunkt för ThinkPad P71. Den tidigare P70-modellen var en av dom första 17-tums arbetsstationerna på länge, men hade inga större fel.
Några aspekter är ännu bättre i år, såsom den förbättrade skalningen i Windows 10 (även om detta knappast är Lenovos förtjänst). Inget har ändrats i fråga om den utmärkta 4K-skärmen, men den integrerade kalibreringen fungerar mycket bättre den här gången. Du får fortfarande ett robust chassi, utmärkta inmatningsenheter och en bra lösning för kylningen, vilket möjliggör ett nästan perfekt utnyttjande av prestandan hos vår testmodell.
Detta för oss till förändringarna: komponenterna. Den nya Kaby Lake-processorn är bara en mindre uppgradering jämfört med den gamla Skylake-modellen, men Quadro P3000 GPU:n är mycket snabbare och på samma gång mer effektiv än den tidigare Quadro M3000M. Fläktarna är för det mesta tysta och temperaturerna är heller aldrig kritiska, så du kan njuta av en väldigt bekväm arbetsmiljö även under belastning. Vi har redan nämnt att detta troligen kommer ändras en aning om du väljer ett av dom kraftigare grafikkorten (P4000 & P5000).
Höjdpunkten hos ThinkPad P71 är den nya GPU-generationen. Tack vare den bra kyllösningen, den utmärkta skärmen och de mycket bra inmatningsenheterna så får du en av dom bästa mobila arbetsstationerna på marknaden.
Vi kan inte hitta några större fel detta året. Webkameran kunde tillslut ha fått en uppgradering och vi förväntar oss bättre högtalare på en såpass stor mobil arbetsstation. Det sporadiska spoltjutet är mer irriterande då fläktarna oftast är av under lätt belastning, så det går lätt att höra ytterligare ljud i tysta miljöer.
