Efter ungefär en veckas omfattande testande kan vi konstatera att ThinkPad T460s är mer än en tråkig Skylake-uppdatering av föregångaren T450s – och redan en av de bästa bärbara företagsdatorerna 2016 enligt vår mening.

Även om designen knappt förändrats är T460s faktiskt en helt ny konstruktion med ett ännu tunnare och lättare chassi. Dess byggkvalitet och stabilitet kan lätt leva upp till de höga förväntningar vi har på en bärbar dator för över 10 000 kr.

Detsamma gäller inmatningsenheterna: Om du letar efter ett tangentbord med en tydlig tryckpunkt är det svårt att hitta ett bättre alternativ just nu. Pekplattan håller kanske inte riktigt samma nivå, men är ändå bra i kombination med TrackPoint.

Vår dyra konfiguration presterar mycket bra, utan några TDP-begränsningar. Processorn Core i7-6600U levererar överraskande bra resultat utan att påverka fläktljud och temperaturutveckling alltför mycket. I kombination med en SSD med överföringshastigheter på upp till 2 GB/s, samt 12 GB snabbt DDR4-minne, kan datorn hantera det mesta. Den integrerade grafiken är en begränsande faktor, men fungerar med äldre spel och mindre CAD-modeller.

Vår kritik handlar främst om den nya chassikonstruktionen, som varken har plats för en 2,5-tumsenhet eller ett större batteri. Lenovo kunde också ha implementerat en modern USB-C-port och en något mer ljusstark skärm – vissa billiga konsumentmodeller presterar bättre i det avseendet.

Det påverkar egentligen inte det utmärkta helhetsintrycket. Enheten är klart köpvärd om du kan och vill betala det höga priset och dessutom jämfört med konkurrensen från HP och Dell.
