ThinkPad T495 är Lenovos första kontorslaptop utrustad med en processor från AMD. Till skillnad från A-serien har den inga större kompromisser jämfört med sitt Intel-syskon. Höljet och skärmen är identiska med undantag för att WQHD HDR-alternativet saknas. Batteritiden är dessutom äntligen på samma nivå.
De enda egentliga bristerna är att den saknar Thunderbolt 3 och att processorns prestanda har reducerats en aning. Det sistnämnda verkar tyvärr vara en artificiell begränsning från tillverkarens sida, särskilt med tanke på att den Intel-utrustade versionen av T490 tillåts dra mer energi. Oavsett så är T495:s fyra kärnor kraftfulla och snabba, särskilt för en kontorslaptop.
Utmärkt skärm, lång batteritid och bra prestanda. Med tanke på det lägre priset är ThinkPad T495 ett utmärkt alternativ till Intel-utrustade ThinkPad T490. Den enda egentliga bristen är att den saknar en Thunderbolt 3-port. Huruvida detta är viktigt för dig beror på hur du tänker använda datorn, men det är definitivt inget krav för en kontorslaptop.
Vi gillade verkligen LowPower FHD-skärmen. Med en ljusstark och kontrastrik panel och god färgprecision efter leverans är den väl lämpad för fotoredigering i sRGB-färgrymden. Vi anser också att FHD är tillräckligt hög upplösning för en 14-tumsskärm och hjälper dessutom till att minimera problem med skalning.
Totalt sett får vi erkänna att ThinkPad T495 är bättre än T490, särskilt med tanke på att den är billigare.
Observera att vi nyss uppdaterat vårt poängsystem, läs mer om det här. Med det nya V7-poängsystemet fick ThinkPad T495 89%. Med det gamla V6-systemet hade den fått 90%.
