Trist uppdatering eller förnuftig vidareutveckling? Utöver den nya Skylake-plattformen är förbättringarna av T560 begränsade till små detaljer, men det behöver inte vara ett problem med tanke på den utmärkta föregångaren.

De positiva aspekterna inkluderar återigen ett bra chassi, utmärkta inmatningsenheter – särskilt det stora tangentbordet – liksom den extremt låga ljudnivån och värmeutvecklingen. Den senare är delvis ett resultat av Lenovos val att utrusta det stora 15-tumschassit med enbart strömsnåla ULV-processorer. Med Intels nuvarande Skylake-arkitektur är även Core i5-konfigurationen tillräckligt kraftfull för multitasking. Hela systemet är imponerande strömsnålt med en batteritid på omkring 11 timmar.

Tyvärr har Lenovo inte tagit chansen att utrusta den nya T5x0-serien med USB 3.1 eller typ C-portar, eller Thunderbolt 3. Den nya IPS-skärmen är inte alltid bättre än TN-föregångaren – kontrast och betraktningsvinklar har ökat betydligt, men färgerna och ljusstyrkan är sämre.

Allt som allt är ThinkPad T560 ett utmärkt helhetspaket och ett föredöme för konkurrenterna. Men med tanke på det höga priset och de små skillnaderna kan den utgående modellen T550 vara ett intressant alternativ för prismedvetna köpare.
