Display response times show how fast the screen is able to change from one color to the next. Slow response times can lead to afterimages and can cause moving objects to appear blurry (ghosting). Gamers of fast-paced 3D titles should pay special attention to fast response times.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.
Screen flickering / PWM detected 220 Hz ≤ 50 % brightness setting

The display backlight flickers at 220 Hz (worst case, e.g., utilizing PWM) Flickering detected at a brightness setting of 50 % and below. There should be no flickering or PWM above this brightness setting.

The frequency of 220 Hz is relatively low, so sensitive users will likely notice flickering and experience eyestrain at the stated brightness setting and below.

In comparison: 53 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 8746 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 343500) Hz was measured.

Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 460 är en uthållig 14-tums 2-i-1-hybrid riktad mot företag. Tack vare de nya Skylake-processorerna har prestandan ökas med omkring 10% jämfört med den tidigare Broadwell-generationen. Men för att vara en 2-i-1 som väger nästan två kilo kommer den att få svårt att hitta köpare med sin prislapp på ca 12 000 kr.

Oavsett priset har Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 460 en hel del att erbjuda. Det tunna, enkla chassit är välbyggt. Enhetens inmatningsenheter inklusive TrackPoint och stylus (ThinkPad Pen Pro) för multitouch-pekskärmen övertygade också. Tangentbordets smarta låsmekanism, till exempel i tablet-läget, är bra och skyddar mot skador. 

Skärmen är imponerande och betraktningsvinklarna stabila. Ytan reducerar reflexer från ljuskällor inne och ute, men den maximala ljusstyrkan kunde vara betydligt högre. De olika användningssätten talar också för Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 460 och kan vara avgörande för köp om man är ute efter en 2-i-1. Behöver man inte sådan mångsidighet kan en konventionell ultrabook vara ett bättre val.
