Lenovo Yoga 500-14ISK är en solid 14-tums ”cabriolet” för flera användningsscenarier. Om du redan är ute efter en hybrid mellan surfplatta och bärbar dator vet du förmodligen hur du vill använda den. Ett par exempel är soffsurf i surfplatteläge eller videouppspelning i ”tältläge”.
14-tummaren är lite lättare än jämförbara 15-tummare, men den väger ändå in på 1,8 kg. Om det är en alltför hög vikt är subjektivt, men inget större problem om du inte i första hand använder den som surfplatta.
Lenovo gör en massa saker rätt – materialen gör ett sofistikerat intryck och de två 360-graders gångjärnen fungerar mycket bra. Vi har ingen kritik vad gäller tangentbordet, pekplattan eller skärmen heller. En annan positiv aspekt är IPS-panelen (Full HD). Den erbjuder bra betraktningsvinklar, hög kontrast och bra svärta. Det enda problemet är den låga ljusstyrkan i kombination med den mycket glansiga skärmen.
Vi hade också velat se en SSD, vilket hade ökat prestandan väsentligt. Lenovo erbjuder tyvärr bara en konventionell hårddisk. Det finns tillräckligt med lagringsutrymme med en kapacitet på 1 TB. En annan invändning är batteritiden på mindre än 3 timmar i vårt Wi-Fi-test, vilket får ses som en stor besvikelse.
Spelprestandan är också mindre bra. Spelentusiaster bör satsa på en dator med GTX-chip. Den mest kraftfulla grafikkretsen i en 2-i-1-enhet är för närvarande Nvidia GeForce 940M.
Yoga 500-14ISK kunde varit en utmärkt allroundmaskin om Lenovo hade använt ett större batteri och en SSD. En bra IPS-skärm, en dedikerad GPU och en snabb processor är inte allt.
