Det är svårt att inte uppskatta Yoga 900S vid första anblicken. Den är snygg, tyst, långlivad samt otroligt lätt och behändig. Prestanda och kvalitet är värdiga flaggskeppsnamnet Yoga 900. I de avseendena är 2-i-1-datorn tillgänglig och bekymmersfri.
De nackdelar som hindrar oss från att ge en oreserverad rekommendation är tangentbordet och prestandastrypningen. Prestandatester och spel visar att man inte får fullgod CPU-prestanda jämfört med andra system med samma krets. För användare som använder maskinen för att surfa, använda kontorsprogram eller se på film märks det förmodligen inte, men vill man ha maximal processorkraft från (den redan ganska begränsade) Core m-processorn är Yoga 900S inte det starkaste alternativet. Samtidigt kan tangentbordet kännas alltför ytligt och mjukt för användare som är vana vid stationära modeller, eller ens inbyggda tangentbord i ultrabooks.
Annars finns det inte så mycket att klaga på – möjligen utöver avsaknaden av separat videoutgång, inbyggd penna, SD-kortläsare och Thunderbolt 3-port. Extrafunktioner som NFC eller GPS hade också varit välkomna. I nuläget är Yoga 900S ungefär lika dyr som vissa mer kraftfulla och populära Ultrabooks som XPS 13, Zenbook UX303 eller Spectre, så potentiella köpare måste sätta stort värde på pekskärmen och 360-gradersgångjärnet för att få mervärde från Yoga-modellen.
