Den långa väntan på en ny flaggskepps-smartphone från Microsoft har varit värd besväret. Lumia 950 XL är en utmärkt produkt som inte gör några misstag vad gäller tekniken. Förutom en snabb systemkrets får du tillräckligt med lagringsutrymme, som kan utökas. Kameran tar utmärkta bilder och videoklipp. Microsoft implementerar en ny USB typ C-port som även stöder USB 3.1-standarden, något som för närvarande är unikt i segmentet.
Just denna port är nyckeln till Continuum, som kan vara en verklig fördel och skapa nya möjligheter. Microsoft inkluderar också ett års prenumeration på Office 365 samt en Display Dock om du slår till nu. Windows Hello är en enkel och pålitlig autentiseringsmetod som är väl integrerad i systemet.
Det största frågetecknet med mobilen från mjukvarujätten är faktiskt just mjukvaran. Både idén och användargränssnittet i Windows 10 Mobile är bra, men operativsystemet verkar tyvärr inte vara helt klart än. Butiken saknar också en hel del program, vilket är ett välbekant problem för de mobila versionerna av Windows. Röstkvaliteten kunde också varit bättre i den här prisklassen.
Om du letar efter en stor smartphone med Windows 10 är Lumia 950 XL definitivt ett bra val – och det finns egentligen inga alternativ. Den första riktiga utmanaren blir Acer Liquid Jade Primo, som bör bli tillgänglig i februari.
