Omdöme - Bra mobil med hållbara egenskaper

Tittar vi på chippets modellnummer går det att ana att saker inte är så bra: Snapdragon 4 var trots allt tidigare tänkt för instegsenheter. Men nya Snapdragon 480 5G gör ett nästan lika bra jobb som förra årets dyrare mittenskikts-chips. Således ligger Nokias för tillfället dyraste telefon i linje med äldre enheter, men det lär snart komma betydligt snabbare enheter till samma pris. Valet av SoC är alltså inte särskilt framsynt.
Men den som letar efter en mittenskikts-enhet med 5G, en skaplig kamera, ren Android, lång garanti och en skärm utan PWM-flimmer kommer ha hittat rätt här.
Däremot passar den mindre bra om man vill ha en lätt och smidig telefon. Nokias X20 har helt enkelt för mycket skärmyta och är ganska tung. IPS-skärmen har låg kontrast och färgerna är inte särskilt exakta, så fans av OLED-skärmar får också leta någon annanstans.
Nokia X20 är en mittenskiktstelefon med lång garanti, bra batteritid och stöd för 5G.
Det är lovvärt att Nokia försöker bli mer hållbara. Ett skyddshölje som är gjort av komposterbart material istället för en laddare kanske inte faller alla i smaken, men det visar åtminstone att man inte alltid måste använda plast som är dålig för miljön. För att skydda sig mot anklagelser om att försöka tjäna extra pengar donerar Nokia också alla pengar de tjänar på att sälja laddare. Man försöker åtminstone att tänka på enheternas miljöpåverkan, och bara det är ett steg i rätt riktning.
