Nvidia GeForce MX330 och Nvidia GeForce MX350 ger lite mer 3D-prestanda på instegsnivå. Till och med riktigt kompakta enheter kan dra nytta av detta eftersom de energi-effektiva komponenterna inte kräver komplexa kylkonstruktioner.
Men om vi tittar på specifikationerna blir det snabbt tydligt att de till synes nya grafikchippen inte är helt nyutvecklade. Båda GeForce-modellerna är fortfarande baserade på Pascal-arkitekturen, som redan är ett par år gammal. Nvidia GeForce MX330 är i princip ett Nvidia GeForce MX250. Detta kan vi också bekräfta med prestandan som utgångspunkt. När det kommer till Nvidia GeForce MX350 har man valt en lite annorlunda väg; det enda steg som återstod var att basera den snabbare GPU:n på laptopversionen av Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 och trimma det drastiskt. Både minnesanslutningen och den maximala energiförbrukningen har justerats, vilket också har en inverkan på prestandan. Men trots detta är Nvidia GeForce MX350 upp till 30% snabbare än Nvidia GeForce MX330.
Kompakta enheter kan dra nytta av prestandaökningen från de nya GeForce-modellerna. Det är bara synd att de inte använder den modernare Turing-arkitekturen.
Innan köp bör man beakta att modellerna vi testat här är tänkta som instegskort. Vi kan inte rekommendera något av korten för att spela moderna spel. Men båda modellerna kan däremot övertyga när det kommer till äldre spel och kan ge spelbar bilduppdatering på en skärm med 1080p-upplösning.
