Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS står ut som den ultimata lyxtelefonen och är ännu dyrare än iPhone XS eller XS Max. Mate RS har en fingeravtrycksläsare som är inbyggd i skärmen, rikligt med minne och utmärka kameror, vilket försöker rättfärdiga enhetens befängda pris. Men enhetens trippelkamerasystem är samma som i P20 Pro och fingeravtrycksläsaren som är inbyggd i skärmen saknar precisionen hos en traditionell sensor.
Mate RS ser tjusig ut med sitt robusta och hållbara hölje. Prestandan är dessutom jämförbar med andra enheter som drivs av en Kirin 970. Men med det sagt så har enheten för många brister för sitt pris. Vår recensionsenhet blir obekvämt varm vid belastning och har kraftig värmestrypning. Energiförbrukningen är dessutom för hög, vilket bidrar till jämförelsevis kort batteritid. Vidare fungerar bildstabiliseringen inte när man spelar in 4K-video och GPS-mottagaren är inte alltid särskilt exakt.
Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS kan inte nå upp till de höga förväntningar som kommer med det absurda priset.
Det finns många flaggskeppsenheter som är mer värda pengarna än Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS. Men få har samma nivå av lyx och prestige som Porsche Design-märket för med sig.
