Samsungs nya version av Galaxy A3 har många fördelar. En är det vridstyva, välbyggda höljet med rundat glas längs kanterna och en metallram. Nackdelarna med designvalet är det icke utbytbara batteriet och ett lite för halt hölje.

Däremot har mobilen ganska lite att erbjuda rent tekniskt. Det bästa är den utmärkta skärmen, möjligheten att utöka lagringsutrymmet med micro-SD-kort och den mycket långa batteritiden.

NFC finns, men den integrerade Wi-Fi-modulen stöder tyvärr bara 2,4 GHz-bandet. Samsungs nya fyrkärniga systemkrets slår inga rekord, men övertygar med prestanda som lämpar sig för vardagsbruk.

Kamerorna gör ett blandat intryck. Medan bilder tagna i goda ljusförhållanden är mycket övertygande, med anständig skärpa och bra upplösning, resulterar mindre idealiska förhållanden ofta i besvikelse. Den tröga och ofta felaktiga autofokusfunktionen och tendensen att underexponera bilderna är också graverande.
