Samsung Galaxy A50 är en utmärkt mittenskiktstelefon. Den rider på sin föregångares framgångar, såsom trippelkameran, men kombinerar detta med en modernare design och en bättre SoC.
A50 har få brister. Men det tar en aning längre tid för fingeravtrycksläsaren att känna igen ett finger och den är dessutom lite sämre på att registrera avtrycket än de flesta sensorer. Vidare än GPS-modulen märkligt oprecis och WiFi-prestandan var ibland sämre än på föregångaren.
Utmärkt skärm, lång batteritid och skapliga kameror. Samsung Galaxy A50 levererar på alla viktiga områden och är i egenskap av mittenskiktstelefon en triumf.
Samsung har också kompromissat på en del områden. LTE-prestandan ligger under vad telefonens SoC skulle kunna uppnå, vilket känns märkligt. Den framåtriktade kameran med fixfokus känns inte heller särskilt genomtänkt.
Men med det sagt tar A50 rejäla steg framåt på andra områden jämfört med Galaxy A7 (2018). Exynos 9610 är ett stort steg upp från Exynos 7885 och knuffar sig till och med före jämförbara Snapdragon-chips. Samsung har också använt ett ca 20% större batteri, vilket hjälper A50 att leverera bättre batteritid än sin föregångare.
För att sammanfatta så är Galaxy A50 ett utmärkt val för den som letar efter en smartphone för ca 3.500 kronor. Men förra årets Galaxy A7 (2018) ger nästan samma upplevelse fast i en äldre design till en bråkdel av det priset.
