Omdöme – En stor fördel, en brist

"Batteritid, batteritid, batteritid" var troligen mottot när man designade Samsung Galaxy M51, och med över 25 timmar i vårt WLAN-test är det definitivt ett mål som uppnåtts. Trots detta är Galaxy-telefonen varken klumpig eller svårhanterad. Här märks det att batteritekniken har gjort stora framsteg de senaste åren.
Designen är väldigt praktisk men borde heller inte skrämma iväg någon. Även om lagringen inte är exemplarisk är den skaplig, precis som WLAN-hastigheterna. Även i fråga om prestanda hamnar telefonen i mitten av sin klass. Vi gillar att den har exakt positionering och en ljusstark skärm. Monohögtalaren är kraftfull men låter inte särskilt bra.
Den höga värmeutvecklingen vid belastning är oroande. I synnerhet under varma sommardagar blir telefonen obekvämt varm och behöver strypa sin prestanda med över 20%. Vill man ha 5G får man leta någon annanstans och detsamma gäller för de som önskar sig en smidig 90 Hz-skärm.
Galaxy M51 är en uthållighetsmästare med genomsnittlig hårdvara som knappt visar upp några svagheter bortsett från kraftig värmeutveckling.
Totalt sett har Samsung skapat en mittenskiktstelefon som borde kunna övertyga många kunder med sin enastående batteritid.
