Är det värt att uppgradera till Galaxy Note 5 om du har föregångaren Note 4, eller Galaxy S6? Nya, tryckkänsliga S Pen är genuint ergonomisk och mer än bara en kul grej, samtidigt som den ljusstarka och exakta pekskärmen bör tilltala entusiaster.

För Note 4-ägare är Note 5 mer som ett sidospår än en uppgradering eftersom man plockat bort nästan lika många funktioner (MHL, IR-sändare, utbytbart batteri, microSD) som man tillfört (fingeravtrycksläsare, ny S Pen, förbättrad skärm, tunnare design).

För S6-ägarna är det som att byta till en större skärm med i huvudsak identisk maskinvara. Ett mer passande namn för den här modellen kunde ha varit "Galaxy Note S6", eftersom den inte känns som ett riktigt steg framåt jämfört med utmärkta Note 4.

För alla andra är Galaxy Note 5 värd en närmare titt. Särskilt S Pen kan vara avgörande för vissa användare som kan ha stor nytta av den i sina dagliga bestyr, men för andra kan den känna alltför liten för att kunna användas bekvämt under längre perioder. Testaren hamnar i det senare lägret, men den utmärkta skärmen och de lovande S Pen-funktionerna ska heller inte ignoreras.

 

Det är en imponerande enhet så länge köparen är medveten om vad Note 5 saknar jämfört med föregångaren.
