Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) är en billig surfplatta på instegsnivå som redan går att få tag på för under 2.000 kronor. Detta gäller också dess föregångare, som hade en bättre skärm, bättre högtalare och mer RAM. Vidare hade Tab A 10.5 längre batteritid och stöd för det tangentbord som fanns som tillval. Tab 10.1 har istället en bättre SoC och en nyare version av Android på sin sida. Det sista är värt att nämna då surfplattor inte alltid får mjukvaruuppdateringar lika ofta som smartphones får.

Valet mellan Tab A 10.1 eller dess föregångare beror på vad du tycker är viktigt på en surfplatta. Prisskillnaden mellan de två enheterna kommer troligen krympa framöver, vilket skulle göra Tab A 10.1 till ett mer tilltalande alternativ.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 är en bergssäker budgetplatta som är prisvärd och passar bra för familjer med små barn.

2 GB RAM och 32 GB lagring är ganska tight för ett system som kör Android 9.0 Pie, särskilt eftersom Samsung positionerar Tab A 10.1 som en familjeenhet med stöd för flera användarkonton. Bristen på en ljussensor och ett inbyggt läsläge känns också som en kostnadsbesparing. För att sammanfatta så är Tab A 10.1 en skaplig budgetsurfplatta, men Samsung har i vårt tyckte sparat in på lite väl mycket.
