Imponerande prestanda som bara är värdefull för ett fåtal användare - så går det att sammanfatta Core i9-9900K i en mening.

Även om åtta kärnor och sexton trådar kan vara en stor fördel i vissa särskilda användningsscenarier så kan gamers slappna av och fortsätta att förlita sig på en laptop med fyra eller sex kärnor (med Hyper-threading).

Själva datorn lämnar ett gott intryck. Men som är brukligt bland de allra mest avancerade modellerna så möts du av en hög ljudnivå och låg mobilitet (nyckelord: storlek, vikt och batteritid).

Bortsett från dessa svagheter finns det inte mycket att klaga på hos denna 17-tummare. Utöver anslutningsutrustningen och konfigurations- och uppgraderingsalternativen så lyckas även ljudet och inmatningsenheterna imponera ordentligt på oss.

Clevo Barebone P775TM1-G, som den är baserad på, är ett riktigt desktop-alternativ som lätt kan stå sig mot ett välutrustat PC-torn. Men tillverkaren bör ändå ta hand om ovan nämnda klockfrekvensproblem då de kan vara relaterade till mjukvaran snarare än hårdvaran.
