It goes to show what is possible with smartphone cameras, and really makes companies like Apple and Samsung look like they’re not really taking photography as seriously as they could be. If the selfie camera featured auto-focus, then we would be looking at the perfect camera phone, but unfortunately this lets the phone down a little. The main camera performs exceptionally well, with impressive results in all lighting conditions, whether shooting in daylight, low-light or night time conditions.

The Vivo X100 Pro’s display performance was overall very good, with the screen achieving a very high score in the color attribute for its excellent and faithful color rendering in indoor and low-light conditions. The Vivo X100 Pro display showed significant improvements over the previous Vivo flagship, the X90 Pro+, particularly in the HDR10 video experience. When watching HDR10 videos in a low-light environment, the Vivo X100 Pro provided a comfortable brightness level, pleasant color-rendering, and rich details that were visible even in the darkest shades of the content. Under indoor lighting, HDR10 video performance was correct thanks mainly to the screen’s proper brightness. However, a slight lack of contrast was visible. The device’s high brightness mode increased readability under sunlight. However, the brightness boost targeted for the darkest shades made the image content appear unnatural.

I missed the Vivo X100 Pro when it first launched but here's my verdict vs rivals like the Samsung S24 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 series. One of the best bits of this flagship smartphone is that Zeiss branded camera tech, which can capture fantastic portrait photos and everyday pics. Vivo's triple 50MP lens arrangement offers the usual flexibility while the X100 Pro 5G can also record up to 8K video. Performance is one of the most interesting areas too. Mediatek's Dimensity 9300 is in charge and means gaming on Genshin Impact is a beautifully smooth experience. In my testing the Vivo X100 Pro got a bit toasty, but that didn't seem to impact the frame rate thankfully. And FunTouch's dedicated game mode is a great addition.

Recording performance was very consistent overall, and timbre delivered from the microphones was deemed particularly pleasant and natural. Thanks to effective wind noise reduction the X100 Pro did very well when recording in windy conditions, but the Vivo is one of few Ultra-Premium phones not to offer an audio zoom feature. In the playback tests, the X100 Pro performed best for gaming, but the results were close when listening to music or watching movies. Recording scores were highest when using the memo app. Selfie video was almost on the same level, but main camera video and meeting room recordings dropped a little lower.

So the Vivo X100 Pro is one of the best cameras that I have tested in the recent past, easily. With that, we get quite a lot of might with the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9300, and a brilliant display. The only thing that had to be sacrificed for stuffing all that tech within the 8.9mm thick frame is the ergonomics. Vivo is back with another flagship that boasts of another kickass camera setup. The Vivo X100 Pro is the company’s latest camera sensation and comes with a lot of things that we found missing on last year’s Vivo X90 Pro. While the focus on the camera is obvious, the X100 Pro has a lot of other things going for it. We get one of the best software experiences that I have personally ever seen on any Vivo smartphone, we get the latest MediaTek flagship chip which is right up there with its Qualcomm counterpart, and a lot more. Rarely ever there comes a smartphone which just blows smartphone reviewers away and the Vivo X100 Pro is one of those smartphones.

The only thing that had to be sacrificed for stuffing all that tech within the 8.9mm thick frame is the ergonomics. Vivo is back with another flagship that boasts of another kickass camera setup. The Vivo X100 Pro is the company’s latest camera sensation and comes with a lot of things that we found missing on last year’s Vivo X90 Pro. While the focus on the camera is obvious, the X100 Pro has a lot of other things going for it. We get one of the best software experiences that I have personally ever seen on any Vivo smartphone, we get the latest MediaTek flagship chip which is right up there with its Qualcomm counterpart, and a lot more. Rarely ever there comes a smartphone which just blows smartphone reviewers away and the Vivo X100 Pro is one of those smartphones.

Is the Vivo X100 the best non-Pro phone of the year? It depends on how you look at the smartphone. If you are looking for the most comprehensive Android smartphone with all-around performance, then the Vivo X100 stands out, at least for now. The handset manages to edge past the previous best iQOO 12 (review) with its cameras for me. The performance of the Vivo smartphone is comparable to its counterpart, if not better. Moreover, the design looks interesting, the display is gorgeous, and the battery life is right up there against most of its arch rivals. It is the software, which comes with bloatware, and the relatively average selfie camera that might give you second thoughts about the smartphone. But, if you can look past those aspects, the Vivo X100 will provide a considerable value for its price, which starts at Rs 63,999 for the base 12GB RAM variant and goes up to Rs 69,999 for the 16GB RAM variant.

The vivo X100 Ultra is one such case. It's got top-class camera hardware, with standout bits at the telephoto side of its zoom range, and it easily converts the numbers into genuinely good photos and video. At this level, comparisons against other phones need to be very specific and tailored to your particular preferences, and a paragraph or two won't tell you which is the best for you. But with a setup that only falls short in one area (and only sort of - the ultrawide is good, but not great), the X100 Ultra is easily one of the best choices for a wide range of shooting enthusiasts.

Det här är mindre avancerade grafikkort för användare som ändå vill kunna spela spel. Nya spel bör vara spelbara, men ofta bara med låga detaljinställningar och låg upplösning. Eftersom moderna grafikkort i den här klassen har låg strömförbrukning kan även batteritiden vara bra.

ARM Immortalis-G720 MP12: High-end grafikchip för smartphones med 12 av 16 möjliga kärnor. Baserat på den nya "5th Gen"-arkitekturen (efterföljare till Valhall) inklusive Variable Rate Shading (VRS) och Ray Racing. Jämfört med G715 ska 15% högre prestanda vara möjlig vid samma klockfrekvenser.

Qualcomm Adreno 750: Grafikchip för smartphones och surfplattor som är integrerat i Qualcomms Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Qualcomm hävdar att det är 25 % snabbare än Adreno 7340 i Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 och de första benchmarks visar att GPU:n kan slå iGPU:n Apple A17 Pro.

De här grafikkorten är inte lämpliga för spel. Om spelet fungerar alls är det ofta med mycket låg bildfrekvens och andra problem med renderingen. Vanligt kontorsbruk och surfande bör däremot fungera bra.

Dimensity 9300: Dimensity 9300 är en avancerad processor med ett integrerat 5G-modem. CPU-sektionen integrerar fyra snabba ARM Cortex-X4-kärnor med upp till 3,3 GHz och fyra mindre Cortex-A520-kärnor med upp till 2 GHz.
