Lenovo ThinkPad X13 G3 AMD Laptop Review: Redan mycket bra ThinkPad ännu bättre med Ryzen 6000

Subnotebook som drivs av Ryzen.

ThinkPad X13 Gen 2 AMD har redan levererat en övertygande utflykt med Ryzen 5000. Sedan förra året är samma plattform tillgänglig med Ryzen 6000. Den kompakta ThinkPad för företagskunder gör ingen besviken och är fortfarande ett bra val, även år 2023.

En recension av en ThinkPad från 2022 år 2023 - låter som en motsägelse, men det kan vara vettigt. Dagens granskningsenhet, Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 3 AMD, må vara "gårdagens teknik", men det betyder inte att den är dålig. Efterföljaren till denna kompakta bärbara affärsdator, Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 4är ännu inte tillgänglig i sin AMD-version. Tillräckligt med anledning för att ta en sista titt på den äldre varianten - kanske kan den vara värd att köpa i en kommande rabatterad försäljning.

Anmärkningsvärt: Konkurrenterna i form av Dell och HP erbjuder mycket ljusstarkare skärmar. Ett genomsnitt på 830 cd/m² som HP EliteBook 835 G9 erbjuder behövs egentligen inte på baspanelen, men det skulle vara trevligt om Lenovo skulle bevilja X13 ljusare skärmar - utan att tvinga användaren att uppgradera till WQXGA- eller PrivacyGuard-panelerna. 400 cd/m² plus X som iDell Latitude 7330erbjuder skulle vara rimligt.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Prestanda: AMD Ryzen 5 levererar bra prestanda

Lenovo säljer ThinkPad X13 Gen 3 AMD med två olika AMD-processorer, där de tillgängliga valen är AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 6650Uoch Ryzen 7 Pro 6850U. Beroende på vald CPU, antingen Radeon 660Meller Radeon 680Mfungera som GPU-lösning. RAM-minnet är alltid lödd, det finns varianter med 8, 16 eller 32 GB LPDDR5-6400 minne. Inte lödd är M.2 2280 SSD, Lenovo erbjuder maximalt 2 TB SSD-lagring.

Testförhållanden

Som vanligt för Lenovo ThinkPads finns det ingen egenutvecklad OEM-programvara för att hantera energiprofilerna. Istället används Windows energiprofiler för att hantera effektgränserna (PL1 = prestanda under långvarig belastning, PL2 = kortsiktig prestandaökning).

Processor

AMD Ryzen 5 ProAMD Ryzen 5 Pro 6650U är en U-processor i Rembrandt-generationen, avsedd för kompakta bärbara affärsdatorer. Som en "Pro" CPU konkurrerar detta chip direkt med Intels vPro-processorer. Den typiska TDP är 15 W, CPU:n har sex kärnor och tolv trådar. Omfattande benchmark-jämförelser med andra CPU:er är möjliga med vårt CPU-jämförelseverktyg.

Prestandan för ThinkPad X13 Gen 3 AMD är något bättre än föregångaren. De Intel-baserade modellerna ThinkPad X13 G3 Intel ochDell Latitude 7330erbjuder en bättre single core-prestanda och delvis en bättre boost-prestanda, men de bleknar när det gäller ihållande multicore-testning. Under tiden har HP EliteBook 835 G9 ett enormt kraftsprång, men den här modellen är utrustad med oktakärnan AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 6850U, som också är tillgänglig för X13 Gen 3 AMD.

CPU-prestandan stryps inte i batteriläge.

Med Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 3 AMD bygger tillverkaren vidare på en redan mycket bra bärbar dator,Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 2. Den nya modellen har alla de aspekter som gjorde den gamla bra, men lägger till USB4 och Rembrandt. Logiskt sett är det inget stort under att den nya modellen också når ett mycket bra betyg.

Förutom de befintliga styrkorna, som det robusta och lätta chassit, de behagliga inmatningsenheterna och de bra anslutningsmöjligheterna, har den nya modellen en förbättrad batteritid. ThinkPad X13 Gen 3 uppnår bra prestanda och körs fortfarande svalt och tyst, vilket inte är en självklarhet när man jämför med Intel-konkurrenterna.

Naturligtvis finns det fortfarande utrymme för förbättringar. Skärmens ljusstyrka kan vara bättre, särskilt när man tar hänsyn till konkurrenterna. Vi skulle också vilja se en webbkamera med högre upplösning samt uppgraderingsbart RAM-minne. Dessutom var WiFi-uppladdningshastigheterna ganska låga.

Kompakt, hög prestanda, lång batteritid, sval och tyst - Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 3 AMD kombinerar många positiva attribut.

Det är mestadels kritik på hög nivå. Om du letar efter en snabb, ultramobil arbetsenhet, som håller hela dagen, bör ThinkPad X13 G3 AMD definitivt vara en utmanare. Detsamma gäller i stort sett för HP EliteBook 835 G9 - köpare avDell Latitude 7330har att kämpa med Intel-processorer, som ger bättre single core-prestanda, men som i övrigt är mindre effektiva. DeLenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 4med AMD Phoenix är redan i horisonten, men inte tillgänglig ännu - att köpa föregångaren är definitivt inte ett dåligt val.
