OneXPlayer 2 recension - Spelhanddator med AMD Zen3+ och löstagbara kontroller

Nästan som en Nintendo Switch med Windows.

OneXPlayer 2 tar Nintendo Switch som referensmodell och erbjuder en spelhandhållare med avtagbara kontroller. Tack vare AMD:s Zen3+ finns det tillräckligt med prestanda, men en brist på mjukvarujusteringar gör Windows svårt att använda.

Spelhanddatorer håller sakta på att ta sig ur sin nischtillvaro och senast sedan framgången med Steam Deck förra året blir utbudet allt större. Tillverkaren One-Netbook erbjuder också flera handdatorer, inklusive OneXPlayer 2, som vi testar idag. I motsats till enheter som Steam Deck eller även den nyligen testade ROG Allyser OneXPlayer 2 mer ut som Nintendo Switch eftersom de två kontrollerna på sidan kan tas bort.

Hårdvaran är den välkända AMD Ryzen 7 6800U tillsammans med den snabba Radeon 680M iGPU, som driver en 8,4-tums IPS-skärm med en upplösning på 2 560 x 1 600 pixlar. Det finns flera alternativ för RAM och SSD upp till 32 GB/2 TB. Vårt recensionsexemplar är utrustat med 16 GB respektive en 1 TB SSD. Priset för enheten är för närvarande cirka 1 100 euro.

Väskor och utrustning

OneXPlayer 2 finns tillgänglig i antingen vitt eller svart, med orange ljuselement i båda fallen (men de kan inaktiveras). Höljet är tillverkat av plast och utförandet är okej, men de två anslutningarna för sidokontrollerna orsakar minimalt spel i konstruktionen. Själva anslutningsmekanismen fungerar dock bra och kontrollerna snäpps också in snyggt. Den centrala delen är i slutändan en liten surfplatta med ett integrerat kickstand, där alla komponenter är installerade. Lite irriterande är det faktum att de två styrenheterna inte har något batteri och därför bara fungerar med en extra adapter när de är urkopplade, vilket måste köpas separat. Alternativt kan du naturligtvis ansluta en vanlig controller via USB eller Bluetooth.

OneXPlayer 2 erbjuder ett brett utbud av portar inklusive 2x USB-C (1x USB 4.0), en microSD-läsare och till och med en vanlig USB-A-port. En vanlig M.2-2280 SSD är också installerad, men hela enheten måste tas bort för åtkomst. Tack vare USB 4.0 kan även ett externt grafikkort anslutas till enheten hemma. MicroSD-kortläsaren är till och med riktigt snabb med maximalt 246 MB/s och kan därför också användas som en minnesutvidgning. Intels AX210-kort fungerar som WLAN-modul, så moderna Wi-Fi 6-anslutningar stöds också. Vi hade inga anslutningsproblem i vårt test och överföringshastigheterna är också bra. Handdatorn erbjuder inte en webbkamera.

Drift - Windows utan optimeringar

Windows 11 Home används som operativsystem, men utan några anpassningar för touch-användning. De två joystickarna kan användas för pekarstyrning och skrollning, vilket är lite omständligt, men i princip fungerar. Till skillnad från Steam Deck eller ROG Ally finns det dock ingen central programvara som kan användas för att till exempel installera/starta spel eller justera inställningar. Här är det begränsat till ett litet kontrollcenter som heter Gamer Zone, som låter dig ändra CPU: s prestanda, vibrationen och ljusstyrkan och volymen. Den här menyn är ganska praktisk och alltid tillgänglig via en dedikerad knapp, men vi skulle ha velat se ett FPS-lås här också, till exempel. En annan nackdel är att det är en separat app och inte en överlagring, vilket är anledningen till att du inte kan använda den i spelet, utan den kastas på skrivbordet.

Själva joysticken lämnar ett anständigt intryck, och vi hade inga problem med knapparna under våra tester. Men särskilt utlösarna på ovansidan lämnar inte ett särskilt högkvalitativt intryck och kontrollerna stöder en vibrationsfunktion. Den kapacitiva pekskärmen fungerar utan problem, som förväntat. Sammantaget märker du helt enkelt att det inte fanns någon speciell programvaruoptimering och Windows är tyvärr fortfarande inte idealiskt för att främst drivas via pekskärmen.

Display - IPS-panel med WQHD-upplösning

IPS-panelen på 8,4 tum erbjuder en hög upplösning på 2 560 x 1 600 pixlar (16:10, WQHD), men bara 60 Hz. Det subjektiva bildintrycket är mycket bra och allt innehåll är skarpt. Dessutom ser ljusa ytor inte korniga ut. Men det finns också en synlig blå gjutning och färgerna ser väldigt coola ut överlag. Vår analys bekräftar detta, men tillverkaren lyckas uppnå den annonserade ljusstyrkan på 250 cd / m². Faktum är att den genomsnittliga ljusstyrkan i vårt urval är lite över 360 cd/m² och ett maximum på nästan 390 cd/m². Svartvärdet är lika anständigt och det maximala kontrastförhållandet är mer än 1300:1.

Färgnoggrannheten lämnar dock mycket att önska och även efter vår kalibrering finns det fortfarande betydande avvikelser. Gråskalan och färgåtergivningen inklusive färgtemperaturen är under kontroll, men ljusstyrkan sjunker med cirka 70 cd/m². Konkurrenterna erbjuder bättre priser överlag, även när det gäller svarstider. Vi kunde inte upptäcka PWM. Betraktningsvinkelstabiliteten är bra, men det finns problem med reflektioner utomhus på grund av den mycket reflekterande pekskärmen.

Display Response Times

Display response times show how fast the screen is able to change from one color to the next. Slow response times can lead to afterimages and can cause moving objects to appear blurry (ghosting). Gamers of fast-paced 3D titles should pay special attention to fast response times.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

In comparison: 53 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 8743 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 343500) Hz was measured.

Prestanda - AMD Zen3+

 
 
 

Vi använde en TDP på 28 watt som standard för följande riktmärken och mätningar, vilket är det högsta prestandavärdet. Den AMD Ryzen 7 6800U erbjuder 8 Zen3+-kärnor och prestandan för flera kärnor är också mycket bra och framför allt stabil. Single-core-prestandan är dock under genomsnittet i alla riktmärken, men detta märks knappast, åtminstone i vardaglig användning. Här är OneXPlayer fortfarande responsiv och särskilt när du också använder den på en extern skärm (helst via USB-C), då kan du använda den som en helt vanlig dator.

Grafikprestandan för Radeon 680M uppfyller våra förväntningar exakt och är också i nivå med GPD Win4, ROG Ally med den nya Ryzen Z1 Extreme är dock snabbare i både CPU- och GPU-testerna. Det finns ingen prestandaförlust i OneXPlayer 2 under långvarig belastning eller i batteriläge.

SSD-enheten på 1 TB är uppdelad i två partitioner från fabrik (409 GB + 499 GB ledigt efter den första uppstarten) och överföringshastigheterna för PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD är anständiga på cirka 3 GB/s. Dessutom förblir prestandan stabil här även under en längre belastning.

Utsläpp och energi

Fläkten på OneXPlayer 2 är ofta aktiv även under mindre krävande uppgifter och körs då också med nästan 32 dB(A), vilket tydligt kan märkas. Att minska TDP-inställningen hjälper lite, men det är inte en riktigt tyst enhet i daglig användning. När det gäller spel beror det återigen på processorns konfiguration, eftersom vi uppmätte 43 dB(A) med hela 28 watt. Om du stryper processorn till 15 watt är det mycket mer behagliga 35,7 dB(A).

Batteritiden vid spel gynnas också av en minskad TDP till 15 watt, eftersom The Witcher 3 (höga inställningar, 150 cd/m²) körs i 142 minuter, medan det med 28 watt och ultradetaljer bara är 96 minuter. Här har det stora 65,5 Wh-batteriet en positiv effekt, vilket också möjliggör mycket bra drifttider i WLAN-testet (10,5 timmar @150 cd/m², 8,5 timmar @max. ljusstyrka).

Yttemperaturerna är inte ett problem alls när du spelar eftersom endast den centrala delen blir varm och kontrollerna förblir alltid behagligt svala. De två stereohögtalarna på undersidan kan bli mycket högljudda och ljudet är okej överlag, men det saknar bas och resultatet är helt enkelt inte särskilt kraftfullt.

Omdöme - Intressant handdator med brist på optimering

OneXPlayer 2 är i själva verket en liten mini-PC med pekskärm och fästbara kontroller och skiljer sig därmed från andra handhållna enheter som Steam Deck eller Asus ROG Ally. Detta ger vissa fördelar, till exempel när det gäller handtagens temperaturer eller applikationsmöjligheterna. Till exempel kan kontrollerna tas bort som Nintendos Switch och användas separat, till exempel som en handkontroll från soffan. Situationen var dock inte helt genomtänkt här eftersom kontrollerna inte har batterier och kräver en adapter som måste köpas separat.

Enheten ser också relativt skrymmande och tjock ut, men detta möjliggör i sin tur också det stora batteriet och ett stort antal portar inklusive USB-C 4.0. Således kan OneXPlayer 2 också användas med en extern GPU, till exempel vid skrivbordet hemma. Prestandaavkastningen för AMD Ryzen 7 6800U och handdatorn behöver inte strypa prestandan under permanent belastning eller i batteriläge. Batteriets livslängd beror till stor del på de valda inställningarna och TDP när du spelar. Den medföljande kontrollprogramvaran erbjuder de viktigaste inställningarna, men vi saknar ytterligare optimeringar, en central programvara för spelbiblioteken eller helt enkelt ett överlägg med vilket du också kan ändra inställningarna medan du spelar. Vi kunde spela rimligt i cirka 1,5-2,5 timmar beroende på inställningen, vilket inte är en dålig prestanda. Handdatorn klarar också lätt mer än 10 timmar i WLAN eller videoläge med justerad ljusstyrka.

Bra prestanda, men svagheter i drift och inte en särskilt bra skärm: OneXPlayer 2 är en spännande spelhanddator med omfattande applikationsmöjligheter, men alla funktioner är inte helt genomtänkta. Dessutom är enheten mycket dyr, mer än 1 000 euro.

Förutom bristen på mjukvaruoptimeringar är skärmen med dålig kalibrering också något av en besvikelse eftersom den varken erbjuder högre frekvens eller snabba svarstider. Priset är verkligen ett stort hinder också, för medan du kan köpa den mindre ROG Ally kan du redan få en ny Zen4-processor inklusive en 120 Hz-skärm för 800 euro, du måste betala cirka 1 100 euro för vår testenhet och versioner med mer minne hamnar snabbt på 1 500 euro.
