I vår konfiguration kostar ZenBook 14 UX434FL för tillfället runt 14 - 15.000 kronor, vilket gör den dyrare än andra system från övre mittenskiktet såsom Lenovo Yoga Slim 7. En stor del av prispåslaget går till unika ScreenPad eftersom du inte får Thunderbolt 3, USB-C laddning, DisplayPort, skyddsöverdrag för webbkameran eller en fingeravtrycksläsare. Det är dessutom synd för gamers att den använder en långsammare 10 W-variant av GeForce MX250 GPU:n.
Om du ofta befinner dig i situationer där du helt enkelt inte kan ha en andra skärm är ScreenPad den näst bästa lösningen. Den kan vara ovärderlig för den som reser ofta och i synnerhet på flyg där bordsutrymmet är begränsat. Men för kontors- eller hemmabruk kan det vara smartare att kombinera den billigare ScreenPad-fria ZenBook 14 UX433 med en extern skärm istället.
ScreenPad är användbar när en extern skärm är utom räckhåll. ScreenPad 2.0 åtgärdar en del av bristerna ScreenPad 1.0 led av och ger en smidigare användarupplevelse och en lite mindre grynig skärm. Om du däremot inte planerar att använda den funktionen särskilt mycket finns det andra subnotebook-modeller med samma eller bättre prestanda till ett lägre pris.
