Dells nya Latitude E5000-serie gör en mycket gediget intryck i alla våra tester. Chassit är robust och stilrent, utan några kvalitetsfrågor, men vi skulle vilja se underhållsluckor eller åtminstone ett löstagbart batteri i framtida versioner. En annan av de viktigaste aspekterna för en jobbdator är inmatningsenheterna. Tangentbordet har en tilltalande skrivkänsla, men kunde haft lite mer djup.

Det enda verkliga problemet med vår testenhet är TN-panelen med sina begränsade betraktningsvinklar. Det finns dock en Full HD-skärm med en högre luminans som tillval. En bättre panel skulle förbättra betyget lite.

Prestandan är mycket balanserad och vi kan bekräfta en klar fördel gentemot föregångaren. Vår testmodell övertygar också med lågt fläktljud, liksom bra batteritid – datorn kan lätt hållas vid liv under en dryg arbetsdag på batteri.

Om du vill ha en hög upplösning och en snabb PCIe-SSD bör du också överväga Lenovo ThinkPad T460s, eller nya HP EliteBook 840 G3 med Skylake. Visserligen har Latitude E5470 en betydligt mer tilltalande prislapp än konkurrenterna.
